    Hi Mr. Trimble. Are you going to make video about belting? I have seen many videos on UA-cam about this topic but there is no useful information for opera singers.

    • @Tenoretrimble
      @Tenoretrimble  3 роки тому +4

      "Belting" requires a slight but constant increase of the pressure of the breath against the diaphragm while ascending to any higher pitch. it is a way of singing that is absolutely to be avoided by opera singers who need to be able to exploit the registers of the voice, especilly the upper register. Belting uses only one register and is not recommended at all for anyone who has to sing very high in the range. I have not made a video because it is such a dangerous way to produce sounds if the music requires a lot of high singing. It has ruined some singers completely and is not only dangerous but useless to any singer who had to sing a lot of high notes. MT

    Hi Mr.Trimble! I hope you’re having a good day today! I just wanted to ask whether on high notes the diaphragm will respond automatically and stiffen. Or would I have to manually increase the pressure I exceed on my diaphragm? Just wanted to know, and if so how will I respond to attacks on high notes? Thank you so much!

    • @Tenoretrimble
      @Tenoretrimble  3 роки тому +2

      The diaphragm will respond automatically only if the "Sighing Method" is used. Otherwise, you must apply the necessary amount of pressure from the lower back up against the chest, (sternum, solar plexus) to maintain an even emission at all times. Look through the videos I have posted on UA-cam about Appoggio/Leaning the Breath, or the one about the Sighing Method. Also, read my book about the different support methods used by the greatest singers. I'm sure you will find some good advice from great singers that will help you. MT

      Go to a laryngologist and make certain that there is no organic problem on one of your vocal cords. If you are healthy in the vocal cords, the problem is a type of breathiness. Adelina Patti said "Don't sing breathy!" No breath must leak through the tone while singing. Breath must be converted to sound. You may be sending too much breath through the passaggio notes. Use a tissue paper or candle flame in front of the lips while singing and/or speaking and see if you are leaking breath through the tone. That will cause your problem and can cause nodules to occur on the vocal cords. Let me know what the Doctor says. Michael t
      Vai da un laringologo e assicurati che non ci siano problemi organici su una delle tue corde vocali. Se sei sano nelle corde vocali, il problema è un tipo di respiro. Adelina Patti ha detto "Non cantare a fiato!" Nessun respiro deve filtrare attraverso il tono mentre si canta. Il respiro deve essere convertito in suono. Potresti inviare troppo respiro attraverso le note di passaggio. Usa una carta velina o la fiamma di una candela davanti alle labbra mentre canti e/o parli e vedi se perdi respiro attraverso il tono. Ciò causerà il tuo problema e può causare la comparsa di noduli sulle corde vocali. Fammi sapere cosa dice il dottore. Michael t

    Hi Mr.Trimble,
    Thank you so much for your videos!
    I was curious, Does a singers diet affect the quality of their voice/singing? If so, are there certain foods and drinks you would recommend one to avoid? For example, should a singer eliminate caffeine and/or alcohol completely from their diet?
    Thank you again for all the valuable information you provide.
