- I honestly have no idea how I remembered all these words 😂 Shout out to the Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez- I first shook his hand about an hour before this freestyle happened; I was on my way into the @NBAonTNT studio and he said “hey man, just have fun!” It was a perfect reminder of why I do what I do. He's so humble and charismatic too. He handled that so well and made everyone love him. I mean imagine sitting next to these big names, not to mention people in his industry like Kendrick and not only being able to keep your composure but perform just as well and impress the hell out of them like it was nothing. *i used to be SURE it was pre-written untill i saw that he claimed on Jimmy Fallon interview it was off the dome. still sounds pre-written, and the freestyle sounds like he doesn't even try to hide it by doing at least 1 verse about something related to what's currently happening.

The memorisation is not as hard as it looks. He's using mnemonic techniques which anyone can learn. In this case he's likely using a memory palace. Read `Moonwalking with Einstein` to understand what you're capable of.

I remember when I heard SuperNatural freestyle (who Harry credits as his biggest idol) and thought "thats it, it can't get better than this. This is as good as you can possibly get at freeestyling, then Mack came along and just absolutely blew him out of the water. He is THEE best freestyler on the entire planet....which is a crazy thought

It's impressive but 14 words are easy to remember after practicing mnemonics, he's performing to the crowd here and can memorise A LOT more than that.. there are actually tournaments where people memorise and recite THOUSANDS of words.

It takes an old man, old musician, to see it maybe...music in the early 60s needed an evolution into something completely different and we not only got a new invention - the 3 or 4-piece band - but a new music from England that transformed the landscape and society. The same thing happened, although to a slightly lesser degree, in the 90s with rap and grunge.- it was that groundbreaking...they gave progressive and folk-rock kicks in the ass that were badly needed...it has been another 30 years and I have only seen an increase in electronic and AI influence to the point where songs don't even need structure anymore...wandering aimlessly though simple chord progressions, tasty gimmicks, and an almost complete lack of respect for lyrics...
You, Harry Mack, may have invented the needed vehicle - a whole new mixture of rap beats and great lyrics, but challengingly off the top of the head...you truly are paving a lane that this old musician sees very clearly now...oh, and if you have not signed Beardyman to a contract and made plans to play the world live as a team...well, please!
