Julie said there'd be other spin offs in a tweet, it's not going anywhere. Personally though I think this universe is hampered by the network it's on, CW shows have this habit of being really good early on, and then turning into a pile of shit later, it's even worse than HBO's habit of doing this. I think if it found a home on a more watched network and had better funding, that TVDU would be better off.

Seeing Hope cry and commands them to take her out before she takes them out is a loophole. Her humanity is getting stronger by the moment🥺❤️
That's not a loophole. A loophole is a balance(s) or workaround that nature makes to uphold its own laws. One of the laws of nature is that all living things (at some point) must die. One example of this is the Mikaelson family except for Esther, Freya, and Henrik. When the world's first or Original vampires were created, nature also created weaknesses for them and their sires: the white oak tree, vervain that grew at the base of the tree, and sunlight as well. Another example is Hope whose weakness is a stake made from the red oak tree or a non-silver dagger coated in red oak ash. Hope herself is also a loophole created to defeat Malivore. When the world's first Immortals (Silas and Amara) were created, nature also created doppelgangers(look-alikes) or as the show nicknames them "shadow selves" of them that could die. Another rule of nature is that when a witch becomes a vampire they lose their connection to magic. An example of this is Bonnie Bennett's estranged mother, Abby. However there's an exception to that rule: siphoner witches when turned into vampire-witch hybrids retain their ability to do magic; prior to their transformation they cannot generate any magic of their own. They have to absorb magic from enchanted objects or supernatural beings in order to perform spells. An example of this is the Heretics.
Being hopeless and worried that her and her friends might not a stand a chance against the god Ken is an emotional trigger for Hope's humanity, *NOT* a loophole. The Squad are an "anchor" for Hope's humanity.

This is where we see that’s what she’s really wanted the whole time, for someone to take her out so she can reunite with the people she’s lost and not be in pain any more
It's so heartbreaking to see that and it's also sad to see Hope losing people she cares about over and over again. She doesn't deserve to suffer. I think she told about Landon when Hope speaks to her humanity and cries 😭😭😭

Honestly, like hope is the first character in tvdu where we see a characters trauma follow them and them having to come face to face with it and cope with like a human would. Like I feel like we’ve never gotten this in depth with a characters mental health besides Elena or klaus.
I haven’t watched anymore episodes of legacies but this scene showed hopes power and it wasn’t cringey. It gave off awesome vampire vibes and the originals vibes. And Her acting was so good when she said to take her out. And the power wasn’t anything colorful or anything, the lights sparking and flashing, room shaking was the perfect amount and it was just cool
This is how I feel too. I quit after Season 2 because I just couldn't handle seeing Hope get mistreated by her own show. It baffles me every time I think about it that the writers thought it better to do a corny, Disney Channel-esque version of TVD instead of letting Hope be the dark, complicated protagonist she's supposed to be. It should not have taken four entire seasons for them to decide to do that.
@@taranova222 Part of it has to do with Julie Plec leaving. The first season was amazing. The second was alright, still had its ups and its downs. Then the third just wasn’t it until the end.

Cmon Hope. Come back to us. She’s spiraling. Just like Lizzie. I feel like everything was leading up to this. She killed Malidon(Malivore and Landon) turns off her humanity and then attacks Alaric. She was going on torturing/killing spree and cut Rebekah out her life. The root of her problem is that she feels guilty and responsible for her father dying. When she gave Rebekah back the necklace she said Family, love, and herself got Klaus killed. She didn’t have any feelings. It was after siring Lizzie and then watching her break the sire bond as a whole that she started grappling with her feelings. And I know deep down she wants to turn it on. She can keep up the no humanity Hope act all she wants but if she really wanted it off she would’ve never came back to the Salvatore School to begin with. That’s where she made all her memories. Dark Josie was right. Not even the all powerful Tribrid can outrun her trauma. The humanity switch is just a coping mechanism and when it crumbles your going to have an even bigger mess than before. I thought Dark Josie was just saying that. But now it’s actually making sense because this entire season so far Hope has been relying on her humanity being off to cope with Landon being dead. Then she leaves the Salvatore School hence trying to outrun her trauma which doesn’t work because she goes back to the Salvatore School a couple episodes later begging for help because she set off a chain of events that leads gods returning to their world aka a bigger mess than before. Hope’s family will be the ones to get that emotional response from Hope and get her humanity on

“I don’t run from a fight” so much Hayley and Klaus energy radiating from her body, Hayley taught her to never leave her loved ones behind when in a fight and Klaus taught her to never back down from a fight, I love how each time they show us a quality of hers that’s from BOTH of her parents. 🥺

This reminds me of when Alaric had a alter ego back in season 3 of TVD. How Hope goes your expendable. You don't matter to me. Don't you see your all gonna die. To Humanity Hope going what are you all doing? Don't you see I'm gonna kill you all. Someone take me out. The none humanity Hope is like a alter ego side. Alaric alter ego didn't seem to have humanity either.

I know that theres the emotional element but the power hope was radiating in this scene goes to show that if hope lost control shes probably like a nuclear bomb. Wasnt it said that as a baby she couldve powered the New Orleans covens for a century or more and that was before she activated her werewolf and vampire sides. I kinda want a show just about Hope that can show off all her potential. Legacies weakened Hope so much she was so much more powerful in The Originals i mean she was so powerful that the Hollow said that Hope couldve rivaled or even surpass her thats why The Hollow chose Hope as her host

The show is finally going somewhere! First few seasons were good then it just got too repetitive with Malivore+monsters and teen drama..fell away from good story writing.
Now things are picking up..hopes inner battle, Liz storyline with Aurora and now being a heretic, like I love this stuff!!
Yes but the writing is still kinda lazy but I guess it's what to except with TVDU shows (except the first 3 seasons of The Originals, amazing writing)

Maybe Hope's none Humanity has become like a alter ego type of thing. Like what happened with Alaric in season 3 of TVD.
There are many people saying the reason Alaric could snap Hope's neck is because he was a vampire hunter and that Hope wasnt fighting back. Here's the thing, Alaric's a Human and Hope's a Tribird. No matter how much training you do in life, there is no way a human is capable of breaking a Tribird's neck bare-handed let alone fracturing it.
You need VAMPIRE OR AT LEAST WEREWOLF lvl of strength to be able to snap a supernatural creature's neck, Cami snapped Klaus in TO because she had Vamp strength. Alaric no longer has any form of powers since TVD. Anyone in that room could snap Hope's neck but NOT Alaric.
How did Alaric break a tribrids neck so easily when even on the Originals it took vampire strength to break the neck of Klaus?

He made the right decision. If she really were to turn on her humanity in this scene, her power would've been completely out of control and could kill everyone around her. Remember what Freya's outburst was like? Yeah.. imagine that but more devastating like Dahlia said.

It’s not like any of those three or a combination of those develops the ability of a strong neck or has some kind of force field protecting their neck. Alaric is just a strong man, and in Freya’s case, she is able to snap people’s necks with just the flick of her wrist.
Theoretically she would get her humanity back but would kill everyone in the process so it’s gonna be even worse for her after she realises.

Being a firstborn child in her family like her aunt Freya, Hope's possesses very powerful magic that's passed down from her paternal grandmother Esther; it's tied to her emotions. If she can't control her emotions, she can't control her magic.

This show is bad. It doesn't handle itself as serious as it should, If you can TELL a show is

REAL STAKES. There have not been any. Every death you see the characters again. Landens death is now reduced to cringe because he never truly died. We see him all the time. This show is clearly to scared to kill off any characters. It wouldn't fix it when they actually do either, It's too late, A lot of the viewers like myself do not care enough about the individual characters and we are all used to it being a Mediocre version of
TVD And Originals. Even when they brought back old characters they were shells of their former selves.

The more I watch the show and I'm at the end of season 3 The more selfish hope looks to me. Besides putting everybody's life at risk for Landon she's just a teenager. But she doesn't follow the rules she doesn't ask for advice from the adult president of the school. She'll go behind people's back or even in front of their face if they have a game plan she'll just walk right through them and do whatever she wants anyway and it always turns out bad for everybody. They're trying to make her look like a kind person but to me she's just a bully who thinks she knows everything and will do her things her own way instead of sticking to a plan or let her friends know what's going on. So much tragedy that has happened can literally be traced back to Hope getting what she wants

Love the last 2 epidsodes so much...hope they do not kill off or take off anyone else ..the main members..or the new male god ben. I like the new female god but i wish they make her stop saying dude i would love her more if they stop killing my love 4 this character by making her say Dude to every person even if it was a dudette . Hope was literally letting him, and Alaric is a hunter who has been training for decades. A human strong enough can snap someone's neck.
