Thank you for the video. How many miles does it have on this 2010 BMW 328i? You mentioned that vavle cover gasket was leaking oil so I was wondering how many miles it has.
@@EuropeanAutoRepair If I remove the pump, I must be ready to replace those aluminum bolts on the pump? I’m a Toyota/Lexus technician, I’m learning about the BMWs, great engines but they have their oddities. Thanks again.
@@jamram9924 yeah those bolts should be replaced if you remove them, you could probably get away with reusing them but those aluminum bolts haven’t been holding up too good from what I’m seeing
@@EuropeanAutoRepairGood afternoon, i have a question too. Will you be putting up videos of car programming or do you any forum that would have information about programming European cars? By the way I’ve had looked already I basically find parts of an specific brand not all of it.
@@ioannismermigas4991 I have a few scan tools that I do coding with, autologic, Ross tech and a autel scan tool. I'll try to show some more coding operations I'm the future, I appreciate the video ideas. If you have anything more specific in mind let me know and I'll try to make one the next opportunity I have
This is the most clear video I have seen on this topic because you have the car on a lift and better camera access than everyone else.
Excellent tutorial! Helped me get this job done before lunch. Thanks!
Excellent! Happy it helped you out
Thanks for a great tutorial on this job, and for giving the year and model - many leave that out as if it doesn't matter.
I appreciate that

I’m sorry I can’t remember on that particular car, usually see it around 100k sometimes sooner
I was told I needed to replace the thermostat,do I need to replace the water pump as well if it’s good ?
If it’s original and you have high miles it probably isn’t a bad idea to replace it, not necessary if you are just having a thermostat problem tho
What’s a good water pump and thermostat you guys recommend
I would try to go with pierburg if you can
Does the water pump need to be removed in order to replace the engine thermostat housing?
You can remove it without removing the pump it’s just a bit more of a fight

One thing for sure you can always count on the beamers to have oil leaks.
Oh yeah!
@@EuropeanAutoRepair oh and thanks your video helped out a lot on how to bleed the pump.
