Thank you for the great day trips ideas, I'm headed to Geneva soon on my way back to Zurich to fly out and these day trip ideas were exactly what I needed!
Excellent advice! Used your advice in Zurich and Colmar this past December and was excellent! Loved it so much we going to Chamonix in 2025 and plan some of these day trips as well
Hi Alexis and Louis! I have been fascinated with Switzerland rver since I watched a video about it a little over a year ago. I just discovered your page. 🙂
Just booked again for this December, mostly skiing but got 2 days in Geneva. Choices between Montreaux, Annecy, and Gruyère. This past Christmas we were in Zurich and did a day trip to Colmar. Annecy too similar?
Thank you. We are using Montreux as a hub later in the week. We will have a car. I am still deciding what to do on the Saturday and Sunday. It may be weather dependent.
Hi guys, love your videos. I'm traveling to Geneva from Canada in early May. Looking to visit Domodossola from Geneva for the day. I'm so confused by the train schedules. Do you have a video or resource to help me book this? Thanks. 😊
Hi! I would download the SBB app. There are a few direct trains (direction Milan) from Geneve Cornavin (main station) to Domodossola. This will be a 2 hr 40 minute ride in each direction though
Coming next month November 7 in Geneva, but was surprised that Augille du midi and Grindelwald is closed due to maintenance work. Any suggestions where we can visit a mountain park that isn't closed in november?
November is a common time for track maintenance since this us the low season, but The Gornergrat and Matterhorn glacier paradise in zermatt are open all year. zermatt is generally a good destination in off season for this reason
Hey loved the vid.. As a Brit, visiting Geneva with my wife on 21st December, would you recommend booking with a tour company to visit Chamonix, do the cable cars up the mountain etc… Or would you recommend getting the bus ourselves and ‘free styling’ it? The tour company seems to have some terrible reviews and seems SUPER expensive. We are also cautious about booking it and the weather cancelling the cable cars etc. I’m also wondering about sledging as opposed to skiing? If there’s anything or anywhere else you’d recommend for a December visit, please do tell! Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.
I would just book the bus tranfers in advance. Get your guide has a lot of options which are just bus transfer + ticket packages which are a great option. I don't think a full tour would be needed, Chamonix is quite easy to navigate in my opinion!

Would love to see a video of day trips from Basel to include places like Freiburg and/or Colmar if you ever have been there.

Perhaps do you have a video of Lyon?
Is it best to see lavaux vineyard fields from Lausanne or Montreaux?😊 You mentioned a metro from Lausanne? And a small express train from montreaux?
