Love it! Thanks for sharing that, Jim. I'm a lefty that plays a right-handed banjo. It's just easier than finding quality left handed instruments. I've never thought about crossing my arms though. I hope that you and your family are doing well.
best criss crossed backward upside down picking I've seen My niece is left handed and that's what I'm looking for a left handed, but she's just now starting
I've known for some time that you're a great banjo player, but that just ain't right for somebody to have that much talent. I mean, shoot, spread it around some!
I used to pick with a guy out of Jackson County that'd just turn a right handed 5 over and play it upside down, thumb string on the bottom. Google 'Sweet Tater Band' and look where the thumb string is. Too bad he's gone to his reward.
As a left-handed player who does the same thing on righty necks...I approve, Jim.
Ha ha!....Good to hear from you Matthew!...I actually thought about you when I filmed this video....keep on picking! JM
I’m 34 from the UK.. Jim you are an absolute inspiration and a living legend!

Jim, on the banjo strings, you use "009" or "010" ?
Jim, if they had wings on them I think you could fly one lol.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing Jim! I've learned so much by watching your videos. What brand strings do you use on your banjos?
Hello Payton and thank you for your interest..... I've used nothing but GHS PF-140's on all of my banjos for the past 25 years....hope this helps. JM
