- Jim Carrey, James Marsden and Ben Schwartz were hilarious during the press conference for #SonicMovie in a room full of mommy bloggers and their kids. Us big kids didn't get to ask questions of the film's stars or director Jeff Fowler but the young reporters did and the actor's' answers were hilarious.

You just can't not like Jim Carrey, such a fantastic actor and entertainer.
Honestly his acting kind of made the movie too. It’s so great to see Jim Carrey back and being Jim Carrey again. So wonderful to see how much he enjoys it too.

Man, Jim gave Robotnik more background story than the games ever did xD Fantastic! Loving these guys, they poured a lot of love into this movie and it shows!

No freaking WAY did it just cut away from what I assume was an amazing and inspirational response from Jim Carrey at 20:20, that's terrible and a perfect metaphor for 2020.

I find it funny that this panel with kids asking questions is no where near as awkward as a lot of other panels
I loved the movie and I highly recommend seeing it and I would happily see it again and I'm going to buy it when it comes to DVD it was a awesome movie

PaTimations PATSw0RLD the thing is in interviews they’re actually not allowed to say certain things. There was another interview where Ben was about to call it “the worse design” and he cut himself off and turned it into something about listening to fans. He wasn’t even allowed to say that fans didn’t like it, only that fans were happy with the new design in general. It wouldn’t be funny or interesting even if he was asked about it.
They’re actually not supposed to talk about it. Probably signed an NDA.
@@chaocobojun2098 There's a good chance Ben was a big part in the redesign. He's a big Sonic fan, and has contributed a few of the ideas for some of the references.

It’s funny that Jim didn’t know that Robotnik actually did have an origin in the comics and yet managed to make an even better origin.

Jim Carrey's Eggman is the best one to me. Normally I saw Eggman as a serious genius, but not in a cool way. He was just this generic Evil guy. I at first couldn't imagine that Robotnik could be so uniqe. Let alone the thought that Jim Carrey could potrait him good. He didn't do a good job. Not at all. He did a very gret Job and I loved it so much. Best version of Dr. Robotnik so far, change my mind
Finally a video game movie since the first Mortal Kombat movie that has gotten a positive outcome.
And the first Silent Hill movie

We’re so lucky to still have Jim Carrey. As a kid of the ‘90s, I just always lump him with Robin Williams. So to see Jim still standing and in top form is a reminder to not take him (or anyone) for granted.
I'm so glad that Jim is able to find a healthy perspective on life, he seems so happy now. I think those years of him being true to himself and following his passion in painting really freed him up from the stresses of the industry. And it seems like he's just focusing on doing projects that make him happy which is awesome.
Robin Williams knew about Jim, And Jim knew about Williams. Two gods like in Hanckok should stay as far away from each other as possible

Jim passes himself off as a big jokester, in a way he is. But, he has thoughts like that and that in itself makes him smart. While that can be funny with the Sonic part of it, in essence that is a deep thought that really should stick with everyone.

Jim isn't really much like Biden, that is kind of a disrespect to Jim in saying that. Jim was only kidding while Joe is not so much kidding as he is unaware that he is making a serious mistake, or that is what he portrays it as anyway.

I've been one of the biggest sonic fangirls for 20+ years now and the way Jim Carrey describes why Robotnik is so angry was the most beautiful backstory I think that character has ever been given.
The movie succeeded because the director and actors had confidence (although some people, like me, would say faith) in the project. Simple as.

Don't forget that the studio was also listening to the fans. Remember that 1st trailer & how the fans reacted to Sonic's design?
The way they all feed off of each other in this says a lot. It's rare that you see that kind of thing anymore wether in casts for movies or a group of musicians, that kind of respect is rare anymore.
This was a terrific video and interview. Very enjoyable to see these people who worked on the movie so passionate about it. Good job, guys! You guys truly created one hell of a fun experience. Felt like a kid again.

Jim carrey answers are really thoughful, I love the way he describes things. I think After his depression his feelings got balance now and he can describe his own side of the world better

Yeah, just thought about it, and I'm really glad I don't have that "hole" in there. What I really love about Sonic (well, his old character, not the new one that's just cracking stupid jokes all the time and then starts talking about friendship) is his _"I just do what I do... And that's all!"_ kinda attitude and to just _"Live Life"._ And I dunno if this is 'cause watching too much Sonic X and playing too many Sonic games as a kid affected my personality, but I realize I'm actually pretty similar to Sonic when it comes to this stuff, but y'know, I'm just glad I'm the way I am, and I never wanna change. Just smilin' and running through life while maybe helping other people too simetimes, even if I ain't perfect and have my _mental breakdowns_ every once in a while.

Growing up I never really got to play Sonic so much cause we had the FamiCom and you know, parents with their "they're all the same" attitude to consoles. By the time that broke down and shifted to Sega fighting games, X-Men and NFL Blitz was all I was playing.

My older brother introduced me to Sonic & I've loved him ever since. I can remember him letting me go into his room when he wasn't home to play, I was never extremely good but I still loved it. Coincidentally he introduced me to Jim Carrey as well.

I still can hardly believe they listened to Sonic fans because some movies *cough-Artemis Fowl-cough* there was a lot of outcry when the cast list/tease trailer was announced with expectancy discrepancies and fans were ignored completely. It kind of restores my faith in fan/producers communication.
