This is the person that put my friend in prison when she was DA of SF, 7 years for possession. He had no priors and had only purchased a handgun because he had been shot in a robbery several months before. Arrested him on a traffic stop and prosecuted him because he didn't have a carry permit, simply unconstitutional infringement.

Only taking some guns makes her against it, like we actually believe they’d take them all at once. Problem lies with their definition of an assault rifle. Do normal citizens need automatic weapons? Of course not. Can a semiautomatic rifle be used for more than assaulting people or tactical objectives? Of course it can and they are used frequently for defense, for hunting, for competition, etc. Let them ban one and take them away and they will move to the next firearm on their list.
