We tremendously appreciate all of your support over the years. The Folk Firearms Collective is a husband and wife team comprised of Denny Ducet and Alina Aldobrando. Our goal is to preserve the passion, art, culture and traditions of the blackpowder community and the adventurous history behind it. Should we fail to immerse ourselves and educate each other in this rich history, posterity will wither and cease, leaving the younger generations to never experience the joy of such times. Join us as we disconnect from all the modern noise and chaos.
To support our channel, please feel free to become a channel member and gain access to exclusive content. All proceeds go to powder, ball, and associated accoutrements featured in our videos.
We humbly thank the Flathead Valley Muzzleloaders Club for their dedication to this craft, the land on which we shoot, and most importantly-their willingness to partake in this preservation of history. Of all the folks we’ve been honored to spend time with, these gents and gals are the greatest of our friends. We are forever grateful for their influence and education in our own lives through the course of our traditional muzzleloading journey.

Thanks to the Flathead Muzzleloaders for keeping the fire kindled. Thanks to the dozens of gunmakers who spent thousands of hours hand crafting the SmokePoles in this video. And thanks to Alina for all the work that went into the filming and editing of this video, and documenting the event so that others can enjoy it, today and tomorrow.

In Europe and I am writing from Spain, we can only compete in shooting clubs, on closed courts. I try to do it with my 58 caliber Dikar Hawken Mountain (CVA). Greetings from Spain.

    G'Day from Australia,
What a fine bunch of folk you are! I've watched many of your videos and enjoyed every one. Watching them has made me decide to take up muzzleloading again, after a break of 30 years. I still have a Brown Bess, two repro Enfield 20 gauge muskets (a 22" carbine and a 36" barreled musket ) as some of the accoutrements and clothing. I foolishly sold my powder horn when I gave up muzzleloading shooting and period camping. Still have a Zouave brass flask which will have to do until I find a decent powder horn. Not an easy task as muzzleloading supplies have become harder to find now in Australia, especially powder.
Thanks again for sharing your time together.
    Cheers,
    Steve
PS That short trade or "canoe" gun is a beast! My Enfield carbine is similar but percussion ignition. I used to take it rabbit hunting with a load of #6 shot. It worked well at short range.
