You aren't alone, bro. That Christmas tree is right where I put my thumb to move my character. I plant all 3 trees asap after landing, I'll die if I don't.
I have been struggling with that christmas tree button for a while now, especially when I'm dropping in hot areas. And again, there's a bug where that christmas tree blueprint get stuck on your screen blocking your view for the duration of the game.

Those Christmas trees are a pain. I end up dropping them the moment I get a gun by scoping and dropping a tree repeatedly
Plant the tree, scope in and out and repeat. You can plant the trees in 3 seconds.

Now Can Get Rid Of The Christmas Tree In First 10 Seconds Of The Game Of Whenever Needed. Remember, Scope In, Place Tree & Repeat It As Fast As You Can & You Are Welcome!!! :) 😊

and there's a bug in the christmas tree where even if you've planted all the tree it will still show you where you can and can't plant the tree which is annoying since it greatly affects your aim and vision in the game.
You need to get a gun, aim at least 3 times and then plant the tree. Once you have planted one you can do it again without waiting for the tree the reload. This will let you plan the tree fast and no glitch
It's easy to get rid of jus click all 3 of the trees laying them down so you won't see the icon anymore but I have mine fully upgraded so I get really good loot out of it you gotta watch when placing them they become markers for people to know your there I use them as traps for that fact I place collect then pull back an watch people run in

You can re-position that Christmas tree button in the settings and i think you can make it smaller and hidden/invisible

The Christmas tree setup can be relocate at setting control botton,just move at other point that Don't bother.
Parker if you pick up a gun and aim then press the Christmas tree button you can drop them all of one after another! Hopefully that helps!!
