This video took me four days of crying and saying 'I can't do this, I quit.'
This show owns my heart and soul. Since I first saw Jack Pearson on screen, I've known that there was a reason I was watching that TV Show. Ironically - and it is pretty childish, I know - he reminded me of my grandpa, whom I just know through my mum's stories. It's crazy, isn't it? That's why I told my mum 'just watch a few episodes and tell me if you see what I see.' And she was just so overwhelmed and saw so many resemblances between Jack and her dad. It breaks my heart watching his scenes with his children and knowing that my grandpa was so similar to him, which, again, it's why it was pretty hard vidding This is us.
But I've always loved this song, it made me think of home and safety and memories, and tbh it's perfect for these characters and their stories.

And she was so right💜Every Tuesday night, I have a chair I keep empty, symbolic of my Mom watching with me. I know some people would think that’s silly, but I think you’ll understand. You capture these amazing characters perfectly💖The song is just right too. Thank you for sharing your gift💙

My god, this video is amazing! I've listened to this song about a year ago and thought it would be perfect for this is us, and you just proved it with your amazing editing, just the scene choice and the parallels and voiceovers that were heartbreaking and beautiful and just spot-on, little things that I completely forgot they said or did that you brought up- absolutely beautiful. This show has the perfect combination of happiness and sadness that are found in the little things and you've captured all of this in your amazing video💜
