Bacon is harmless. I think Dr. Berry has a video on the topic, iirc. In related news, about 35 years ago, my grandfather was told he had high cholesterol and should "cut back" on red meat. 15 years ago, I took my mother and grandparents out for dinner. My grandfather said he wanted a steak and explained why he didn't wanna chance it. My mom, a smart nurse aide who reads a lot, asked him when the last time he had a steak. "About 20 years" was his response. My mom said that having a steak every week or month won't hurt. He was short and thin, but downed a medium rare 8oz ribeye and a medium 8oz NY Strip. The smile on his face with each bite is a memory I'll never forget.
