Hi Jon, that's why you and your channel are so great, because of this kind of tutorial and explainations, not only the aircraft build who are of course also amazing. Continue this way 👍👍😉😉. David.
Hey Jon ....i agree with the other comment below ....please do a spektrum one also.. if you would so kindly ..thanks for all your time and videos ! Great info !!
Hey, man, appreciate the videos! So I just bought my first jet and a Swiwin 120 turbine. Just really want to see a video showing the first-time start-up and then start-ups after the initial start-up. Do you have any of those? I plan to fasten my motor to a bench and do the initial start up, once I have 100% confidence. Thanks again!
The larger manual that I printed off for the Vspeak module only shows two states for the status LED. Flashing Green and Flashing Red. No where in the manual does it show the status LED as the Solid Green that you have. I have mine set as you have shown for option 1 with the throttle cable attached and working in Jeti Sensor. I get the Solid Green led. But ---- If I select Applications on my DS-24 and just page over to MX and do nothing else the LED begins and will continue to give the Flashing Green status on the LED. I am not sure if I trust it with the solid green or not? What do you think and have you flown it in a plane with the Solid Green status? Thanks so much!
not sure why so many struggle with the V Speak. We have setup many aircraft with them and they all work great and are easy to setup. I don't really pay attention to the LED so can't say for sure.
Do you have any concerns with vspeak in these turbines based on the incident that happened earlier this year? Was it just the light controller being too close to the vspeak?
Can I just connect directly from telemetry port on Swiwin ECU to my central box telemetry input? I’m using MFLOW2 for fuel data, and not wanting to use Vspeak. I have tried and can’t seem to get telemetry data. Appreciate any help or ideas.
I have mentioned this before, but you really need to get a camera that does a better job of handling focus, previously suggested the Sony ZV-1 (it is still a good choice), but now there is the Sony ZV-E10, an even better choice since you can select from a variety of lens options, I would suggest the 16mm-50mm would be best for your application, your build videos are great, would just be that much better if we could see everything clearly…
@@thelightersideofrc Not sure what happened but my reply did not go through. Here is what I meant to send to you: Thanks so much for your video, it really helped me get set up! Just as some feedback here is what I found. I wanted to use EX BUS but keep my throttle on Channel 3. If you connect to Jeti Box and page over to Jeti Telemetry, page down and select EX BUS. Page back up to Jeti Telemetry and then page back to Throttle. Since EX BUS has been selected you will now have two page down choices. Page down to Throttle Offset and then page down again and it lets you choose what throttle channel you want to use in EX BUS. I chose Channel 3. Works great. Also, if you have Jeti Telemetry selected, you will see a solid green light on the module showing the data is active. If you have EX BUS selected, you will see a flashing green light on the module showing the data is active. I do have a question for you. Is there anything wrong with also connecting the throttle output from my AR ARXL Smoothflite (also channel 3) to the PPM (Throttle input) on the Swiwin ECU even though it is getting same input via EX BUS through the module? Thought maybe if the module were to fail I would still have throttle control through the Smoothflite? I have setup both ways and seem to get the same positive results. Thanks!

Will see what I can do.
@@thelightersideofrc Thanks Jon that would be fantastic !!
Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
AWESOME job sir !! Keep it up !! this will help ALOT of people !!
Thanks,
A spektrum one would be awesome as well
🤓
@@thelightersideofrc It would be great if you could do one for Spektrum :)

Thanks. Any of my recent builds, when we get to the engine run/final video i go over in details what I do for the first startup.
Do you have any videos on the fuel and oil That is used on turbine engines and how to mix them?
Best thing to do is consult with your owners manual for % and oil type.

None at all. Have continued to install. Obviously being mindful of proximity of other devices.

Telemetry port to primary receiver ext port is best.
@@thelightersideofrc Worked perfectly! Thought I had tried that combo before , but must have missed it... Appreciate the help. Love ur channel

👍
Can you do a Xicoy Edition?
We have an upcoming xicoy install so will do!
Nice job 😊 but they will still get it wrong Human Nature 😅. Other engines probably be a good idea as weĺl 😊.
