Yes, when you don't use the word 'local' you're creating a variable with a global scope. This takes up a small amount of memory as you're storing things for later unnecessarily
if it's to create a new variable yes
Depends of the code block that you're currently working in. But local is recommended for any new variable anyways

Hey gnome code, could you make a video or tell me how you can (damage) a player who is standing (Outside) of buildings, houses etc. To simulate "A blizzard"👋
Cast rays from the sky (refer to GnomeCode's tutorial on RayCasting) and have them damage the humanoids hit.
Furthermore, if it's a small area, you could even use a grid of equal parts as casters.
