  • Really pushed the grading on this little thing, but it sure helped mask its' imperfections. I actually no longer use the Panasonic Lx100, as the lens would no longer extend.

Just a few shots I captured at the Georgia Aquarium for the purpose of testing my new B cam.
The Panasonic LX100 is the same the price as the 12-35mm, and it is over 1 stop of light faster at the wide end which is crucial for astro-photography and low light aquariums. Sold the kit lens that came with my Panasonic G7 as my intention is to use this camera for wide shots.
Side note: Since you're actually reading this. For the price of an LX100, Panasonic G7, and Zhongyi 25mm f/0.95 and the Osiris LUTS, you could only purchase a GH4 and a 12-35mm

The LX100 's video features really make it stand out from any other high-end compact. Video quality on the Sony RX100 Mark III and the Canon G7X are not great. Where they falter, the LX100 rockets forward with crisp, ultra-detailed 4K recording. It's basically as good as what you get out of the $1700 Panasonic GH4. It's not amazing in low light, but compared to any other camera around this size, it's still awesome

The footage looks fantastic. What were your settings for the LX100, did you adjust the saturation, contrast, etc? And did you use the LOG or Rec.709 versions of the Osiris luts?

I was in natural (-5 contrast -5 NR 0 sharpness -2 saturation) and I used two rec.709 which probably looks closer to log
:) thanks for the comment man

Great stuff! Do you still use this little beast? I am thinking of buying it now. LX100 II did not impress.
