I love the garden as it goes to sleep for winter. The winter's rest does it good, as it does us because there's less to do. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your garden 😊
Maria , what a nice big garden you have , well laid out . I done something tonight for pudding not done for years pineapple fritters , enjoyed I had not got cooking apples to do apple ones, should have deep fried but shallow fried instead . thanks for the tour enjoy your party , its something we do .
Pineapple fritters, that's a blast from my past! I haven't had them since I was a teenager. I used to buy one every Thursday night from the local chip shop. I loved them! Thank you for 'joining' me on my garden tour. Next year I'm hoping it'll be a mass of fragrance and colour as we're planning to do flowers only. Thank you for watching, see you in the next one 😊
I hope the flowers do well for you next year xx i like autumn it annoys me when folk rush it to do Christmas early. We went for a walk earlier and it was lovely colours x from Victoria x
I love Autumn, but I have to admit I'm guilty of being an early Christmas person, but not before bonfire night. Next week is our big clean up ready for the decorations going up 😂 x
It is a nice size garden, I wish I could take some from the front and put it at the back though as it seems wasted at the front. Thank you for watching 😊
Hi Maria, Autumn is my favourite time of year also! I’m not crazy over the snow we get in winter. We can get lambasted, and temperatures are around -25 C. The colder weather sneaks in early in Saskatchewan so we pick our green tomatoes before the frost hits. I put them between sheets of newspaper in cardboard boxes and they ripen beautifully! I also make green tomato mincemeat for my Christmas tarts. I’m waiting for your next grocery haul! It’s fun to see all the different things you buy that we can’t get here. Your grocery prices are cheaper than ours by about 26.9%! Canada is very expensive when it comes to food. Have a good day! 😊
-25c that is so cold, it's nothing like that here. England is a damp country, we always get rain. If it snows it only lasts a day then the rain comes and washes it away. I've never heard of green tomato mincemeat tarts, is it sweet or savoury? I'm hoping to go shopping tomorrow, but I only need a small shop for the Halloween buffet. I'll show you all what I buy. Thank you for watching 😊
Hi, It’s sweet. Just like regular mincemeat. It has all the apples and mixed fruit, but I think peeled, green tomatoes were used to get rid of some. There isn’t much flavour to green tomatoes so it was great as a filler. 6 cups of apple and 6 cups of peeled and finely chopped green tomatoes. Then make just like regular mincemeat. You really can’t tell the difference. 😊
@@judith4985 Sounds nice, and a good way of using green tomatoes. I've only ever used them in green tomato chutney. I'll make note of this should I ever have a future glut of them. Thank you 😊
Thankyou Maria look forward to your party ❤️😊👍🏻
Thank you 😊
Hi Maria! Everything looks so neat and tidy and ready for next year. I feel the same as you regarding the seasons. I hope to have a video posted soon.

I cook mine on top of the stove. Simmer until thick.
😊
Hi Maria, are you making a Christmas cake this year?❤
I normally do, but I'll cook it in my oven if I do. 😊
