I live in Maryport. That beach site is a great place to stop when the weather is good but avoid it when there's a strong wind coming off the sea. Your vans will be showered with salt water and that's bad news regarding rust. The lower gravel area used to have tarmac but in a storm one night a few years ago it was destroyed by the waves which reached the top of the slope of the sea wall behind you. There's a nother good place at the end of the prom but again, only in fair weather. We locals don't mind you stopping at all. Come and meet usin the pub, buy fish and chips here - anjoy the stunning sunsets over the Solway to Scotland.
@@gatersontour Allonby is good too. There was a bit of controversy after the council sold off the main toilets on the seafront and visitors began doing their business in the sand dunes. At first people blamed the camper vans until I pointed out they are the only people who are NOT doing that, they bring their own toilets. The only public loo now is further NW to the children's play area, jjust before you cross the little zig-zag bridge.
@@Crusty_Camper campers always get the blame. That's why we pick up rubbish wherever we go as don't want to get the finger pointed. Look forward to Allonby with our own toilet! Lol
@joannewall5499 Our friends were like why you going there! But we loved it. We will definitely revisit. Thank you for watching and commenting. we really appreciate it ❤️
Great choice Anna, nothing better than being on the West Coast, cracking sunset! Great price for the park up Steve. Crabs for tea? The Aura is quite eye catching. Lots of ornate benches and an eye catching bin. Oh a Lowry Art Trail, that sounds decent! Quite the historic place, thanks for showing us around. Accidental dog standing 🐕 this is a lot of miles for new shoes. Gosh Hadrians Wall too, only 110 miles? That seems narrow! 👍
Hi Lisa & Pete, yes, Cumbria is so pretty mind the weather was good. Thank you for watching. I'm excited about our French vlogs in a couple of weeks. Steves been doing them on the evening. We will catch up with yours once home and washings done! On route now! Thanks again for the lovely comment 👍♥️👍
