Make Knife | double action, otf | Make with sticks | DIY tutorial

I always wondered how a automatic knife`s mechanism worked, so I made this one out of popsicle sticks , toothpicks and one elastic band.
While making this knife I realized that it was more complicated than what I had anticipated, it all came down to the fine tunning in the end.

This is nice! i don't see any practical use for it though. i wish i could make it but i don't have the smarts yet.
