Thanks for the video mate. I’m fairly sure that you would need to half the diameter of the barrel /shroud and lens , then add those measurements to the distance between the top of the barrel/ shroud , and under side of the lens . NOT the the underside of the barrel and top of the lens….if that makes sense 👍
Thank mr, I'll give it a try when mine arrives. Sadly I wasn't able to use your link for the purchase as the Arken site are stuck in the Stone Age selling only the 35MOA variant. Tactical scope have the 0MOA and 5% off if anyone's looking for a deal.
@crazycressy7986 mate if you buy through the link in my videos i will gladly help you out with setting it up👍 my email address is in the description👍👍 the vixen with it is awesome! Mine is!
great video buddy really informative for a newby like me . if possible can you explain the rest of it ?? at the end of the video you said all you need do is transfer the table to the scope it would really help if you explained this as well and how to set the scope up when you have transfered the table . sorry to be needy but that is the stuff newbys really need ie to be led by the hand . great vid though keep up the good work cheers
Nice bit of information on doing the 4 inputs you need to have for the ballistic on the scope . I’ve done it from the top of your barrel to the bottom of your scope but works just the same way you have done it . And on doing the BC me and my brother has. Bought between us the FX true ballistic and it gives you the average BC . It’s a brilliant bit of kit for setting up scopes which needs BC . Just giving my thoughts before going to WORK 🫡😜
Hi, bought a Zulus 3x12 at game fair a couple of weeks back, mounted it on my R12 fac. Followed your guidance videos on set up, firmware updates and setting up the ballistic app. Took a little bit of tinkering with scope height as only got standard tape measure. Spent a bit of time and pellet on pellet from 10 yards 30,50 and 70 yards distance. Videos were a great help although it wouldn’t Bluetooth to my phone outside but would when I was in the house and had phone linked to house WiFi. I’ve no sd card in the unit will that make any difference? Or only needed if you intend to record pictures etc. One think I noticed that threw me slightly was when you upload the ballistic figures from phone to scope via ballistics call it came up in the reticle check ballistic figures are correct. Does that mean I have errors or just a standard message. Seems to shoot as it should. Any advice is welcome. Phil👍
Hi Phil, fantastic that you’re up and running!👍 the message to check the figures is standard because slight variation e.g pellet weight can be inputted in grams (g) or grains (gr) so it’s just a sanity check for that👍👍 happy hunting 👍👍
@@VerminHuntersNEUK Found the cartridge/pellet table and the list is comprehensive. I’d put the BC for the jsb 15.89 pellets in as 0.024 as guess to be honest but the table gives it as 0.032 so imagine that will alter things in the ballistic app. It seems to shoot spot on , would you recommend to update with the stated figures or leave it as it is
@philipasbury9173 if it’s shooting pellet on pellet i’d leave it as is. My bc for .177 heavies was stated at 0.032 but i adjusted it to 0.039 and it’s spot on now, every rifle is different so small tweaks are needed - if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it!!👍👍
Hi, you need the arken optics app and the arken ballistics app. Pit the info into the arken ballistics app, tap on the top box when you open the app (box below the temperature) and add it there👍👍👍
Exact JSB , 4.5 m ,, 10,34 gr ( Arken Zulus scope ,, ,, pathfinder BRK ,sub 12 , running at about 11.5 😂 ,, but as iv said I admire your input,, and Ive only got admiration,, 👍🤠
@davidbrennan869 your ballistic coefficient is 0.031, put in the 11.5flbs and the 10.34 gr then the acope height as i explain in the video, save it then go to the ballistic table app, turn on bluetooth and use the little white aeroplane (like the one you click on to send me a message on youtube but white) and it will load into the scope. Then go into the scope menu and chose your table in the ballistics part and bingo! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video mate.

The way i’ve done it works perfectly, try it👍👍 your way will work too as it gives the same outcome

No problem mate, enjoy it 😍😍😍
Measure the top of the barrel to the scope lens cover ,same as finding centers on timbers
Agreed, either way works fine👍👍
@VerminHuntersNEUK hopefully will be getting one and a Vixen to sit it on. I'm just a bit scared of the technical stuff as I am GenX lol

Quality explanation buddy il be doing that on mine 👍
No problem pal, happy hunting! Thanks for watching 👍👍👍👍
Great video mate keep them coming ..
Thanks Simon👍👍
Great information, I’m saving your video for when I buy one👍
No probs pal👍👍 follow my link in the video, spin the wheel on the arken site for a discount👍👍

Hi Keith, i’ll get a short video posted up showing how to do it pal👍
Never seen it done that way bud did it work
100% mate, get the measurement as precise as possible and it works perfect! 👍👍
Yes
Appreciate the video!
Thanks mate👍👍
Ranges showing 42m example but not showing hold over mark.
In settings BALLISTIC it does say QUERY
Have set the scope to call on the ballistic table?
Can you not use manufacturer output save buying another bit of kit?
Manufacturer out put for what? If you mean the muzzle velocity you can’t use it because this will change depending on what pellet you use
I only get about 20 usable shots on fac air arms I don’t suppose ballistic calculations take into account pressure drop?
@grays85 if you do a shot string and use the average it will be somewhere near but how big is the spread/drop. Could be way off
same here when the 3-12 come out 👍
Yeah, i’ll be getting one too mate👍👍
Could you please give me witch measurements you take first and witch you add together as i got a little lost please
I’ve emailed you pal👍👍
My X is 70 to the right and Y is 140 up. Do I need to shim and added spacer to my scope? To get it closer to 0,0
Hi, It sounds like you do. Place a shim at the front of the mount and another front left and this should help👍👍

total novice when it comes to ballistic calculators, unsure where on the app you put the info? any help would be great

wrong info top of the shroud to the bottom of the zulus not bottom to top
Have you tried my way? It works perfectly. Your way would work too if you add the figures instead of subtract👍
Was going to say the same thing that this way is fine you minus the figures and doing it the way you mentioned you would add
Hard air magazine as a lot of pellet information..
👍👍👍👍

There are so many pages in the app! it's a nightmare finding the screen you need.
Just click on the top tool bar in the ballistics app and bingo
