I completely agree but how about the people on earth that experience nothing but suffering from birth is that for/to be an example to show others of how grateful they should be for how good they have it in comparison? While the ones who suffer are just and example and will be sent to heaven no matter what? hard to explain how god would let some people born on this earth to just experience suffering without choice. How could some one worship and thank god for life when in fact their live is all suffering?
May Allah bless Dr. Zakir Naik and protect him. I just wanted to add One thing in this topic. Why Dr.Zakir has not mentioned the Ayah. Chapter (51) sūrat l-dhāriyāt (The Wind that Scatter) Verse: 56. (I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.) . Our main purpose of coming into existence is Allah's Worship. and Yes, He is not hungry as Dr. Zakir (quran ref) explained us. So in the first place, we are not eligible to question Why to praise Allah? e.g. If I am appointed as a doctor in a hospital and I ask the authority/Owner " Am I supposed to treat the patients" . It will be stupid on my part to question which is my duty. This is not a critic point against Dr.Zakir. His knowledge is like an Ocean compare to mine as a droplet. But I was expecting this Ayah also from him.
If God were "power-hungry" (as I once believed as a Satanist for 15 years), He could easily force our worship. The most mundane command from Him would cause us the greatest of agonizies, and we WOULD cry out to our Lord, frantically promising to serve Him all the days of our life, if only He would deliver us from this affliction. Example: God simply commands our body to stop blinking, or hold our blatters. How much pain could we resist until we ultimately concede with His own will? Yet God is the Merciful One, and it is out of our own free will that He wants us to seek him out. I worshipped the Shaitan and his tribe (from the perception of Christianity) for many years, and I was not taken in this sorry state, where I would have been doomed for Jahannam... praying to my Lord for His forgiveness after all my arrogance and mockery in this life. My Lord spared me long enough to be guided towards Islam, so that I would not be one of the damned! He could have left me in this accursed state all the days of my life. This is sufficient enough to praise Him.
Why Allah wants us to praise and worship him? - Allah wants us to worship him for our benefit, because he knows the human psychology; When we know and agree that someone is great and famous we tend to follow his advice. - Allah has not only created you but even your parents, and gave as a loot of blessings, doesn't he deserve the praises and the prayers?
The sentient being is total depending on the law in the depending on God for it's future. The law obliges honesty as God requires and that since the fall of sin of Adam. Honesty and non violence are requirements of God by personal promise to let the human being find the purpose of life, eternal life in the completed creation with the promise of Paradise. The Honesty of God promises the end of all lies in all the souls. To praise God by honesty is for the benefit of the human being all teh human being but also a necessity by the prevailing law. In the jungle of the law God knows the way and God will guide the honesty to the purpose of life in time by proof.

Is he triggered about the fact that we humans didn't praise him? How does punishing the disbelievers benefit them or him in anyway, if, he's all knowing and merciful?
What about the children whose parents were neglectful and even abusive? If the child as an adult doesn't dote on those parents, what does that mean? If the child doesn't then praise God, what does that mean?

all your analogies completely neglect hell and punishment... You mention that it benefits us to worship god but benefit indicates that there is a state that is neutral neither better nor worse. Benefiting doesn't mean it hurts us if we don't do it but in the case of Islam if you don't worship god you to hell and get punished which means that worshiping god is not benefitting but actually a must. It's like taking a test and to get bonus points you can answer some questions on the back but if you don't answer the questions on the back you fail the test, then in the end those are not bonus points but points needed to pass.

It's your misfortune to be totally ignorant about Islam & interestingly, inbuilt hatred of Jews & Idol wirshippers against the muslims have vividly been described in holy Qur'an by Almighty Allah. Your accusations against muslim rulers in India, are all baseless, concocted & far from the truth. Being utterly oppressed by your so-called upper class lots, the Dalits/ Sudras had no other option but to embrace Islam. None of the rulers ever compelled anyone to convert nor it is permissible in Islam to convert anyone using force.
Emergence of Islam was never designed to accumulate worldly wealth. Rather, it came to ensure justice in every sphare of life & to create bondage of brotherhood among all nations in the world. Half of the world came under the umbrella of Islam & nothing other than peace prevailed in the regions, where muslim rulers enforced the Qur'anic dictates in the system of rule. Later, due to monstrous betrayals of the Arabs, enemies ensured the Janaza of Islam & peace got vanished altogether from the world. Defying the order of Almighty Allah, they gave total walk-over to the enemies & paved the way to get massacred. Today, the Arabs are solely responsible for the prevailing distressed state of the entire muslim world.
If interested to get some essence of Islam, may take the pain to read an article "Prophet Muhammad" presented by a great philosopher & professor of Mahishur University of India, Dr. Ramakrishna Rao. The regards & respect which he projected for the Prophet (saw) in his writings, are simply superb & astonishing. Even we, the so-called muslims do not hold such high profile respect for our own Prophet.
Only the fools would deny the existence of our Creator, Almighty Allah. Disbelievers & idol worshippers will have to pay very heavily on the day of Judgement & their eyes will get bewildered having seen the ferocity of hell fire, which will engulf them with utmost love & care. They'll keep repenting for not becoming a muslim, while they have to dwell with Iblees all through their eternal life in hell fire.
I'd also like to suggest you to read the translation of holy Qur'an for once atleast! Would you?

I completely agree but how about the people on earth that experience nothing but suffering from birth is that for/to be an example to show others of how grateful they should be for how good they have it in comparison? While the ones who suffer are just and example and will be sent to heaven no matter what? hard to explain how god would let some people born on this earth to just experience suffering without choice. How could some one worship and thank god for life when in fact their live is all suffering?

May Allah bless Dr. Zakir Naik and protect him. I just wanted to add One thing in this topic. Why Dr.Zakir has not mentioned the Ayah. Chapter (51) sūrat l-dhāriyāt (The Wind that Scatter) Verse: 56. (I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.) . Our main purpose of coming into existence is Allah's Worship. and Yes, He is not hungry as Dr. Zakir (quran ref) explained us. So in the first place, we are not eligible to question Why to praise Allah? e.g. If I am appointed as a doctor in a hospital and I ask the authority/Owner " Am I supposed to treat the patients" . It will be stupid on my part to question which is my duty.
This is not a critic point against Dr.Zakir. His knowledge is like an Ocean compare to mine as a droplet.
But I was expecting this Ayah also from him.
The Man want to be praised even though he is not benefitted. Does Allah also like or want to be praised even though he is already great ?
If God were "power-hungry" (as I once believed as a Satanist for 15 years), He could easily force our worship. The most mundane command from Him would cause us the greatest of agonizies, and we WOULD cry out to our Lord, frantically promising to serve Him all the days of our life, if only He would deliver us from this affliction.
Example: God simply commands our body to stop blinking, or hold our blatters. How much pain could we resist until we ultimately concede with His own will?
Yet God is the Merciful One, and it is out of our own free will that He wants us to seek him out. I worshipped the Shaitan and his tribe (from the perception of Christianity) for many years, and I was not taken in this sorry state, where I would have been doomed for Jahannam... praying to my Lord for His forgiveness after all my arrogance and mockery in this life.
My Lord spared me long enough to be guided towards Islam, so that I would not be one of the damned! He could have left me in this accursed state all the days of my life. This is sufficient enough to praise Him.

- Allah wants us to worship him for our benefit, because he knows the human psychology; When we know and agree that someone is great and famous we tend to follow his advice.
- Allah has not only created you but even your parents, and gave as a loot of blessings, doesn't he deserve the praises and the prayers?

The sentient being is total depending on the law in the depending on God for it's future. The law obliges honesty as God requires and that since the fall of sin of Adam. Honesty and non violence are requirements of God by personal promise to let the human being find the purpose of life, eternal life in the completed creation with the promise of Paradise. The Honesty of God promises the end of all lies in all the souls. To praise God by honesty is for the benefit of the human being all teh human being but also a necessity by the prevailing law. In the jungle of the law God knows the way and God will guide the honesty to the purpose of life in time by proof.

all your analogies completely neglect hell and punishment... You mention that it benefits us to worship god but benefit indicates that there is a state that is neutral neither better nor worse. Benefiting doesn't mean it hurts us if we don't do it but in the case of Islam if you don't worship god you to hell and get punished which means that worshiping god is not benefitting but actually a must. It's like taking a test and to get bonus points you can answer some questions on the back but if you don't answer the questions on the back you fail the test, then in the end those are not bonus points but points needed to pass.
