I remember reading it and I had a picture in my head but the way it was animated here made me feel David’s own emotions when he was in the presence of the tabernacle. It makes me praise and thank God too. I can imagine the way David was dancing without any care for how he looked in front of others especially as king. He didn’t care. He was so happy- he danced his heart out to praise God and that is what I pray for all of us even today. Thank you Bible Project. And I thank God for giving you all the ability to make such wonderful animations. Keep doing what you’re doing!
The Holy Ghost pours out his Spirit and brings the increase in the name of Jesus. The latter rain proceeds the second coming and it is what waters the seed. Without the Spirit of God no one is saved. Disobeying God he waged war, Becoming detestable to the core. Today he is the ruler of Earth, Though for all his power he has no real worth. However most of us have still been sold, Giving into sin and becoming cold. Nearly everyone is a puppet dancing on strings, Marching to delusion for their unjust kings. My people have given into lust, Becoming robots full of rust. However you my child are the exception, So when you meet me don't forget to mention. I love how the garden of Eden was “replaced” by Jesus. Whether that was intentional or not. A lot of people try to find Eden for the heaven on Earth factor, or for peace and goodness. But here and now, Jesus is the one we’re to seek. Love it!
I would’nt say replaced, but everything in the garden points to Jesus symbolically, almost as a prophetic picture. So in one sense he is a prophetic fulfillment of that, but that doesn’t negate the fact that Jesus will create a ‘new’ Eden when he returns
As the ark is carried to Jerusalem, David steps into his priestly authority over Israel. He and all of the tribes of Israel come together in Yahweh’s presence in a re-creation of Eden, with David as Israel’s priest and king. From the inauguration of the Levitical priesthood, we’ve been expecting a priest from another line. And God chooses David to step into the role of the priest king of Jerusalem, a leader like Melchizedek. And David’s high priestly role culminates in his desire to build a temple for God-a new Eden sanctuary where God’s presence can again dwell with his people. In 1 Chronicles, the biblical authors describe David’s preparations for building the temple. And it might sound familiar. David’s temple plans include the same elements found within the temple-building narratives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. David begins the preparations on a mountain (Mount Moriah), and he builds an altar to Yahweh, offering burnt offerings and calling out to his God (1 Chron. 21:26). David calls the place “the house of the Lord God” (1 Chron. 22:1) because it is the site of Israel’s future temple to be prepared by David and built by Solomon (1 Chron. 22; 2 Chron. 3:1). The temple was to be a symbolic model pointing to the new Heaven and Earth that would be filled with God’s presence, where humanity could once again live as God’s priestly representatives. This is why the land of Israel is repeatedly called the “garden of Eden” (Isa. 51:3; Joel 2:3; Ezek 36:35) The temple also acted as a symbol of the task that God wanted Israel to carry out-the same task that Adam should have carried out but did not. Israel was to spread God’s presence throughout the whole world and bring blessing to all nations. The temple was a reminder for Israel to be a kingdom of priests, bearing God’s name to the nations. David was the son of a rich man. The books of Samuel reveal him to be as bad as Saul if not worse. The main takeaway is that God's will can even withstand centuries of political manipulation. Royalty is not about protecting faith, but a nation. Because David was more ruthless than his enemies, Israel survived. David is not a "Man after God's own heart." He was a man who knew how to use the mass media of the time to build his own legend and justify his atrocities. I actually think that's probably why Mary being the line that Jesus comes from is crucially important. God did not require the "root" of Jessie the rich man to bring his Son into the world.

I really love your mission and what you do. Love it! I really, really do. However, this video isn't specifically about "David, the Priestly King", is it? I really appreciate putting things into the context of the flow of the Bible and how it fits into God's design, but I was disappointed that it lost clear focus on David's life as the main topic (especially for use as a teaching tool). You all probably know best. Thanks again for all you do!
Acts 26:22 To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.” Luke 24:26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory? Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones. Zechariah 11:7 So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep. Zechariah 11:10 And I took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples. So it was annulled on that day, and the sheep traders, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver. John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Isaiah 59:15-21 Truth is lacking, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment. So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives. “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the Lord. “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”

Amen. That's actually beautifully expressed 🙏🏽. I love it
I would love to see you guys create an entire illustrated bible app. Your grasp of biblical knowledge art and sound design really make for a complete experience. Now imagine that in its own app. Watching the bible would be amazing for devotions and teaching! I’d pay for that! God bless all of you!
they have one! 😊
Where?!?!?

Another outstanding video by the Bible Project. This portrays the theme of Israel’s leaders’ self-sacrifice leading up to Jesus really well. Thank you!

Любим БОГА ОТЦА и СЫНА БОЖИЯ ИИСУСА ХРИСТА и СВЯТОГО ДУХА БОЖИЯ АМИНЬ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really appreciate the use of Blackness in in this, its quite remarkable considering how biblical characters are usually presented
I thought the same thing!! I’m thankful these folks are accurately representing the ancient Semitic people.
@Skelley-Priest I knew you were coming and I expected a comment like this sooner or later; I’m not going to neither defend or explain. God bless you. 🙏🏾
I said that too their representation is awesome
They’re usually presented historically as Semitic people, not Africans.
This is childish thinking.
great videos encourage many to listen
Thank you for making this!

I was shying away from catholicism but this really helped me understand why the Pope is who he is now. The papacy and king of church goes back to the beginning of the story of human life. Now I know what Jesus meant when he gave the keys to Simon Peter and he said his church shall be build upon him
I'm Excited
always love God's pattern

Repenting on Your Sins, Asking Jesus Our Savior for our Redemption, Believing on Jesus Christ our One and Only Savior and embracing our Christianity without a shred of Doubt, Believing and Living in Honor of our God the Father Jehovah, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ our Lord, Divine Mercy and His Never Ending love for us😊🌄😇💖💯 GLORY BE TO GOD, THANK BE TO GOD!!!
Amazing work ! God bless you !
Great work, guys as usual. You really are a ‘God-send’
This one was so good!!
Thank you Lord so much for the hearts of the people in the Bible project. ❤️
Precious blood of Jesus Christ
Thank you and God bless you Bible Project Team!
Blessed ❤
Shalom! Shalom!
Can we get merch with some of the art on it? I love to show my faith theough waht I wear and this is such a charming artstyle.

Acts 26:22
To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”
Luke 24:26
Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?
Zechariah 13:7
“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.
Zechariah 11:7
So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep.
Zechariah 11:10
And I took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples. So it was annulled on that day, and the sheep traders, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver.
John 10:11
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Isaiah 59:15-21
Truth is lacking, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
Wow this is simply amazing
