After the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States chose the main island of Bora Bora to serve as a military supply basein the South Pacific, under the covert name “Operation Bobcat.” The tiny island was stocked with ships, equipment, an airstrip, and more than 7,000 soldiers, although it never saw combat. I'm a 20 US Army Combat VET and I've never been stationed in such a beautiful island other than Guam Bora Bora is beautiful. Thanks for the video, this was awesome!!

@@Moonraker11 You do know that the United States Military Academy was founded as an engineering school so that the Army would have an Officer Corps educated for situations just like this. Not trying to be snarky. The Army Corps of Engineers builds bridges, roads, civil works, Combat Engineers can do incredible thing in short order under enemy fire. Getting a gun emplacement up a hill is a fairly simple, straightforward operation compared to all of that. I would imagine they used their biggest Caterpillar tractors and towed everything up.
As a general aviation pilot I really appreciate the videos from a corporate perspective. The two pilot cockpit and jet flying provide us with a lot of tips that help make us better pilots.
This place is a bucket list item that’ll probably never come to fruition but your video took me there and I appreciate that. I also love the inflight footage. Keep safe!
thats what I like to see not just the flight, they are all the same, but a little of the interior that they are visiting and the food they are eating giving a little drama to the flight making it an interesting area in case we want to visit the place we have some heads up on the area. Good job.
RETIRED corporate pilots retired life here. Really enjoying your videos. Although they make me want to come out of retirement. Ahhh, the good ole days.
Thanks for the look. My favorite place I have ever been. Loved bloody Mary’s and the best scuba diving I have ever done. Looked like a Picasso trigger (humuhumu). Awesome job!
It definitely tops my list as well...and you're exactly correct on the trigger. I'll never be able to pronounce the full name of that thing. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

When I worked on cruise ships South Pacific was my favorite run. Caribbean is nice but Polynesia is the definition of 'tropical island'. Loved going to the little grocery store to the left of the tender quay and buying baguettes, French cheese and pates and frozen peas to feed the fish. Sneaking into the high end hotel beach and having incredible afternoons. No need to snorkel to watch fantastic array of fish. OH yeah, and Bloody Mary's .
What a life.....get to fly, get to vacation, get excellent food service! ...and runway lights in Hawaii which served more as mood lighting than as navigation aids. Love glass cockpits, eh?
Shawn, Honestly I enjoy the site seeing and the out of the cockpit stuff every bit as much as the flying! I also noticed Jon gets very animated at the mention of food! Big smiles at the 39 min mark. Great video. Chris
Ok I need to stop watching your videos, ,I keep adding places to visit to my bucket list. Great stuff , love watching your adventures , keep,up the great job.
Hey guys. Thanks for the great video. I got my first 1.3 hours of "Actual IMC" logged time this morning, so now I can "kind of" relate when you dodge the G4 in and out of those build-ups. 😀
Incredible video on this whole trip, thx so much for posting. Appreciated the route planning charts and you going through the logic, too. I'm well versed on US ATC procedures (my company provides ATC simulation services), but this was my first time hearing international ATC. As always, seeing this level of CRM is impressive, you guys are killing it. Love hearing the thinking behind weather diversions, quick climbs to get above weather, etc. That's what it's all about right there. Your pax couldn't be in better hands. Lastly, we're helping GS with human factors testing on the G500 + G600. I hope you get to experience that flight deck at some point. It's quite the airplane.
Very cool! I certainly hope to get into the G500 or G600 as well. They are definitely awesome planes. I saw one doing some test flying a few months ago...beautiful
Man guys, gotta say.... I’m chasing the Airline pilot dream, so naturally I watch a lot of UA-cam and obviously ....aviation videos. But you guys have class. Love it!!! Keep up the great work!!! One of our Captains talks up the corporate gig....you guys prove it! My kids love you guys as well! ~loud applause~ . Keep the dirty side down!
Now were talking...Bora Bora is on my list of places to see. The US used the main island at Bora Bora for a supply base in WW II, but there was never any combat there. I'll look for your card there and get a pic, got get a tee...lol. Nice post.
I think the best view of all was over the wing on take off. Man what a beautiful island. Sad story that guy the stole the dash 8. At least he got to do what no other pilot was able to do with that plane.
Another awesome video! The scenery and drone shots taken of Bora Bora were fantastic, especially the view out your window on the departure. I liked how Jon told Andrea to bring his food first, lol! You guys are awesome, keep up the great work and the Corporate Pilot Life!
Always enjoy watching your videos! Especially the longer ones, it’s like I’m glued to the screen!! Great views, great shots, y’all have the best job hands down!!! Keep em comin!
Suggestion: next time you do a flight into southern latitudes it would be cool to show a closeup of a screen that shows your latitude as you cross the equator and go from positive to negative or vice versa.
Ask and you shall receive! Check out the 6:50 mark of the below video. This was one of our more enjoyable trips with some fun clips if you haven't seen it yet. ua-cam.com/video/nbZ-PYfa7EY/v-deo.html
That is one of the funniest videos you guys ever put out! And while the crossing 'bump' was cool, I prefer 6:20 of that video on as it was one of the parts that made me really LOL,. Such a interesting video that is, and the whole crew was in a joking around mood in it.
Hahaha! Scared the crap out of Francine with the bump at the equator! That was great. What is the range on that Gulfstream? You guys have done some seriously long flights.
Great video. The ‘weird line’ to the water on Tahiti is for big A/C looking further ahead over the nose in order to stay on the line and then turn. Interesting though. Small field ops for big a/c.
Thanks for showing us around the island, great place to get stuck for a few days. That last approach was very dark, runway lights did not seem to show at all, well done
Boy,.. do you guys have a tough job. Glad it’s not me😎 What a place and absolute fabulous footage. I’m still laughing after your last “flipper dive" in Hawaii 😃 Thanks for letting us tag along. My favorite channel by far.
My god...that overwing shot looking back at Bora Bora is of the greatest climb-out views of all time. Clickbait thumbnail? Nope, just a frame taken from the actual video. Wonderful video and what an amazing life experience. Appreciate also the cockpit talk.
Fantastic pictures of Bora Bora from the air, Beautiful beyond belief, never been there, but like to go. You guys did a good job. Guam has big guns in the jungle like that.
The "new" attendant Andrea seemed fairly cool too. Friendly, participated in your outings, and easy on the eyes. Still love Francine, but enjoyed Andrea too. They could've given ya Broomhilda..
Thank you, Shaun and Jon, for sharing such a beautiful place with us, your viewers. I know it’s a place that I’ll never have the opportunity to visit. So, I appreciate being able to watch you, Jon, and Andrea enjoy all the amenities of such a beautiful island. It is so hard to believe that the water there is SO clear. Nice job, Jon, catching that shark. How in the Heck, did y’all get that hook out of that shark’s mouth? Look forward to seeing the video of the trip back to the mainland, and on to Florida. Happy Flying, and Safe Landings.
Thanks Richard! The next segment is in the editing process now...should be out later this week. We actually opted to not remove the hook from that shark's mouth. The way I tie the line, I'm able to cut it at a distance from the mouth and remove the line leaving just the hook. It will rust out in just a few days in that salt water. It was in the very corner of it's mouth, so it shouldn't interfere at all with it's eating in the mean time. Thanks for following along!

Hello - I am so happy to have found your channel a couple of days ago. Is it possible to hear the thrust of the engines when you take off - its sooo exciting! ??

Don't know who you guys fly for but based on everywhere you have been, they must have some BIG bucks. This video is amazing. THE best out of all of them. You guys went to flight school, I went to truck driving school...damn.
that wing view on takeoff....the reason the rewind button was created. Had to watch that a few times. Great stuff!
Premier 1 Driver a VLOG with sean and john would be nice
I was curious if they watched one anothers content. A collaboration would be awesome!
I hear you. A Magnificent view. What colors!
I don't know how you find the time to record and edit these videos but thank you very much for doing so .

Very nice! Great job as usual! Thanks from Houston!
Wow, you even have CRM while fishing. Impressive team indeed.
I never really noticed that, but yeah I guess so. I suppose if you make it part of normal life, it's super easy in the airplane...
Above the Clouds some great shots, very good guys.
Bora Bora is amazing! Thanks for the videos.
Dang that was dim runway lights. Gorgeous islands
A T-shirt? All the way to Bora Bora for a tee? Hmm. I was thinking more along the line of a jumpseat ride from somewhere far far away to somewhere else far far away.
