@@Ilovemiddleagedwomen By the lack of a response, I'm guessing no. I would love to have the album. I wonder if it's available on CD or digital download. The Young Ones was the best comedy show ever.
Ah memories! Monty Python at 9pm, Young Ones at 9:40, and Comic Strip Presents at 10:20 on Sunday nights. Made dealing with going back to high school the next day a whole lot better!
I have it in my collection as well and it's played often! I bought my copy in pound stretcher, it was strange to see a box of about 50 of them . I think it cost me 50 pence!!!
Would love to get a copy of this album or at least a video of Hole in My Shoe on You Tube-I have got the 7" picture disc of that single in the shape of funnily enough a shoe!!!
""If people like the young ones please check out my friend and I's channel of fan videos for the young ones where we write and perform as RIk and Neil !"
@johnny1973 Dont dis your heriatge - you have produced many great comics - Lenny Bruce "If Jesus had been murdered 20 years ago Catholic children would be runnin around with little silver electric chairs on chains around their necks..." Its the great US dollar in the form of sponsors/advertisers that keeps good original home-grown talent off US TV - they strangle originality in any form in favour of the lowest common denominator - thats the same with our independent commecial TV networks here
We can thank MTV for bringing The Young Ones to American audiences. I doubt any other US network would have put the show on the air back then.
my brother has a young ones picture with all there autographs on. I want to get him the heavy concept album for christmas.
Did you get him the album for Christmas 14 years ago?

By the way, I bought this lp in a store, never knew about the MTV promotion. I still have my copy of the lp. And I've seen it on CD too.
I love him... he's my husband now
I'm lucky enough to have this album. I don't know where it was available from here in the UK.

I'm thinking back it was about 1988 or 89

I remember this ad... I wish I had ordered the record back when it was available; however, I was too young.
Same plus my mum hated me watching the young ones
I want to hear Vivian's album.

Never knew about this. Thanks for posting it!
It's funny seeing Neil juxtaposed with this very American style of advertising.
God bless Nigel Planer...I would love to see him as the Wizard in "Wicked"...sadly, I'm stuck in the US. :(
Wow---I'd never seen this one before...
There's a copy of this album for sale right now (12/20) on eBay for 50 bucks.
HIPPIE!!!11
This certainly is rare now! I think I've seen it online for $30-60! I'd love to hear it though!
summer of 1984
I managed to pull the album off of the net, it's freak'n hilarious.
i called itt, its the art institute, some one british sounding answered hahaha! i hung up though.
I knew nothing of "The Young Ones" when I bought this lp. It's a great album. Lots of fun and good music which led me to "The Young Ones" TV show.
Shows the Americans have taste!
how have i missed this all these years? and why aren't their any copies on eBay if this is real?
@ DontFearCelsHere
Absolutely agree with you. It's the same thing over here.
I would love a copy of that album. Anybody own one?
Does anyone have a copy of this album ?. PLEASE get in touch if you have
Yes, kids it's true: There WAS a time when MTV was entertaining
Lucky you!
They don't make good shows like this and black adder anymore.
LOL! Great Sgt. Peppers disign:D
You can get it on Ebay for $120!!!
Wow, that sounds, like, really expensive and all that. 🙂

Neil Rules. The Young Ones was a class show and this Americanized version of what Neil and the Young Ones was about is a disgrace.
Wow, MTV used to be cool once. Who'd a thought.
