I'm frm Jamaica and I have never heard of this group on till they won the aword but I love the way they spread love around the world tru reggae and embrace the culture this is what we need in this crazy world love
Idk why we as a people fail to understand we inspire others globally. Everybody saying they don’t know them, ask the Americas and Europe. We have this sense of entitlement and yet still we don’t even support our own reggae artistes in Jamaica
I look at it this way. If now more ppl have heard of them don't be surprised when these same fans start listening to ALL other reggae artists. Perhaps it was this band that caught the fans attention & therein will have a powerful effect on the musical genre itself. Love & Peace ✌
Soja i become aware of you because you win the award i am a Jamaican and i really appreciate your contribution to reggae it's pure love which remain me of Bod Marley One Love and keep doing what you do no matter what. Thank you all.
The intro gives me goose bumps EVERY single time, "You don't need to really understand the lyrics. You can just feel you know? The love, its international" I remember the very first time i heard this song was on beautiful acid trip on the beach and it literally made me tear up. One love from Aruba!🇦🇼❤💛💚
Respect SOJA... Current crop of Jamaican artists (well most) have lost the the art of creating good reggae music with a strong message. That is what make reggae music great.
Seeing them in person was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I had no idea who they were when I went because my uncle invited me, but when I showed up I've never felt music through my veins the way I did when I watched SOJA.
"Sometimes you feel lonely in this crazy world. and when you hear them, you see someone else thinks like me." I am thankful I found this Band. It helps me to deal with life, it really hits the soul. Thank you
I bet you don't listen BLACK Jamaican bands, groups ect that originated reggae music. Our culture is being stolen from us from white executives(Grammy's)that don't like or understand our culture or music. Within 5 years all Jamaican music will be performed by all white people.
Thank you SOJA, your music and your lyrics help me every day. They are peace, they are calm, they are love and social conscience too. Thank you very much from URUGUAY! Yo are the best!
I never knew these U.S reggae BANDS WHERE PULLING SO MUCH CROWD, however thank God for them, or else roots rock reggae would be on life support, as most young Jamaicans has foolishly turned their backs on a genre, that is supremely loved on the World scene, however it would be good if they would introduced other reggae act, like Adahzeh, ofJamaica, Dubbeez from Amsterdam etc. at some of their concerts, these are bands that are continuing the roots rock reggae sound, bless-up Soja, glad to have you in the music as a Jamaican.
SOJA RESPECT my brothas ❤️🙏🏼💯!!!! Thank you so much !!!! Found out my cousin that I grew up with since middle school passed away in Washington R.I.P my brother 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 !!!!! Remembering him thanking me that he listen to reggae music that helped him in ways !!!! Lost contact with him since 2005 😢. Now in my sad dark day / night your song comes on and you reminded me ....,,,, you help me to know that everything’s gonna be all right !!!! Spreading love and caring through music ..,, thank you again !!!!! One Love 💯💯!!!! Island Boy in Oklahoma 🤙🏼🇬🇺🇧🇿🤙🏼!!!!
I knew of Soja from in 2016. I 1st heard "you and me" and got to know lots of thier other music.. I do love how they spread love.. I'm still in shock that they won an Oscar.. Nuff love Soja
I’m from the philippines, HUGE FAN! Its 2019 and people tend to b toxic, especially in my country. What can I say, 😊 SOJA keeps me on track, they inspire me to do better and teaches me to inspire others. Please like this comment for SOJA to notice. Thank you.🙂
Wow. The gentleman in the beginning who said SOJA reminded him that his dream was to be a musician and reggae music reminded him of those feelings was like he said everything I felt. Reggae music bright back the deep feeling in my soul that connected me to music and other people. I have met some amazing people in the reggae community. I'm so blessed to have had my eyes opened ❤️ thank you SOJA. You have touched my soul and brought me peace I have never known
It's another amazing feat by the small island of Jamaica to have introduced a vibration to the planet thar has been adopted as a voice for the people...
Probably the last mf to care from Philadelphia I thank you for all you’ve taught me the path to spirituality is cold and lonely glad to know others feel the same ❤️
I'm pretty sure the bassist the guy with blonde dreads he used to live on my block in Arlington when I was growing up Im pretty sure we would wave to him and he'd give the peace sign but that block has changed so much most of the original houses have been torn down and replaced with bigger ones.
She raises the flag of my Puerto Rico...what a beautiful flag to have representation even in Brazil! Brazil thank you for your kindness to us!
this song made me take a big decision about my life and I would probably never thank SOJA personally, but I hope they know how they help people doing it
When this song came out is around the time i first dropped acid, and on that day while me and my bestfriend who now lives in netherlands were laying in the sand, on the beach, with waves crashing on shore..my friend put this song on one of those jbl speakers and specifically this video, the official music video...and the combination of the intro of the people speaking and then when the song started i literally started to cry and it was the most beautiful feeling i have ever felt in my life One love from Aruba🇦🇼
Ooooh this song.... where do I start. I named my dog Soja, because both changed my life. While listening I finally got lyrics, and it redirected my life.
Greetings. Big congratulations to SOJAH on their 2022 Grammy win in the Reggae category👍 As a Jamaican who lives in North America, I can say categorically that the Reggae that has been coming out of the birthplace of Reggae, Jamaica in the past two decades has been wanting to put it mildly. It is noise, trash, junk to the ears and soul!! Reggae is supposed to move you physically, it should stimulate you mentally and disrupt or calm your soul spiritually. If one or all those emotions aren't happening then it's not authentic Reggae. The Reggae and Dancehall artists of this decade and generation (with few exceptions like Chronixx) have not taken the time to sit at the feet of legends and masters in order to learn and master their craft. They want to fool people on social media by buying views and get into petty spats to remain relevant. Too many so called Reggae artists are high on hype and zero substance. No, that's not how you get to the top of any industry, profession or organisation. Commit to 10,000 hours with a master teacher, do it with your soul, write quality lyrics/music that transcends colour, race and geography and then you're likely to see the rewards (money, fame, recognition, awards) in your lifetime. Get out of the hustle and fast food mindset. Maintain local appeal but aim beyond Jamaica's two international airports. One love👏
I had the amazing pleasure of see these beautiful people when they toured with Michael Franti and have been a fan sense then. Please never stop doing what you do
love is the thing we all seek, with hope and fearless dedication to the paradigm that EVERY HUMAN HAS THE RIGHT TO LOVE AND BE LOVED. I LOVE YOU EVEN WHEN I DONT LIKE U...
