The only reason we have a 1.5 is because they re-engineered the joints for the MG Dwadge P-Bandai release. Otherwise they'd have probably never gone back to it.
Having built it myself I can say with certainty that it probably needs a 2.0 the 1.5 fixes some minor issues for a brick of a kit and it has a decent amount of accessories which can be used with other kits.
I do wonder though if they’ve maybe tried to do a 2.0 dom and realized it just didn’t work out right and made this instead to have a Dom that is a significantly more modern kit even if we’re not going to get 2.0 peak material
Though not near the top, this is definitely on my wishlist. I really want a MG Gouf 2.0 first though. This is your first Zeon MG??? For sure, you need a Zaku II 2.0. It's a great kit!
@@christsang9728 yeah, it's weird how Bandai never made one. It doesn't look that different from the standard Gouf, so why can't they just use the 2.0 as a base? But Bandai is seriously neglecting 8th MS Team when it comes to models. I've heard both MG Ground Gundam and the EZ8 are really outdated at this point.
@@riblo72 Yep. I would love a MG GP01 2.0. I have the RG, and it is really nice, but RG kits are small and so many tiny parts can get annoying during a build.

I built both Gouf and Zaku II 2.0 and i totally love them.
We need a 2.0 gouf custom more than anything

@@christsang9728 Totally yes. All the old kits from 0080, 0083 and 08th MST deserve a 2.0
