Dear Genevieve, I can only think the only reason you haven't become a worldly star, is because God is protecting you. Because truly, your voice is not just a gift, it's supernaturally anointed. Well...just wow. What a great song... a great melody, memorable, singable, and lyrically beautiful. Longing for a person by singing to someone who isn't there....just beautifully told and creatively compounds the emotion. Also to note, given your abilities, the control you exercised in order to serve the emotion and message of the song was terrific. Being from Oxford I have followed closely your work and family story and this song is just so powerful and deep in many ways. Your voice has also matured and has a new depth and timbre to it that I don't recall as much on earlier recordings! Keep up the amazing work Genavieve, such a gifted artist!....EDIT...2 hours later...I think I have listened to this 5 times already and have a nice fingerpicking arrangement on my acoustic guitar. Truly a song that stays in your ear and man that opening captures your emotion right out of the gate

The line that really got to me was

Is this a song about just that? Someone being lonely for so long that they long for this future person they haven’t met yet?
But there are lines that make me think you know them already (am I losing you again) very thoughtful, gorgeous song Genavieve. Very beautifully written as well. As close to what I think an angel sings like too.
