Yo guys! What do you think of these panels? ⁉️ Next video is a vlog of our trip to orlando to meet up with robey tech and friends! Will be up Saturday 🔥
Govee is bringing some great competition. I think Nanoleaf wins in the HomeKit ecosystem though. As long as it’s not the V1 triangles. The new thread stuff just works hands down better with connectivity and not cluttering up your wifi. It will be interesting to see what matter brings to the table and what Govee does going forward. I do completely agree with the hexagon shape though. Govee hands down wins that one. Another this is it seems like that big converter has to sit close to your panels. That could be an eye sore depending on location.
@@jsonken82 that’s my biggest question. I’m building a HomeKit ecosystem, and I’m looking to see if these use thread or matter. Because if not then they’re really no better than the Walmart branded LED’s…for me. Plus being able to tell Siri to control them is a huge plus. Let’s hope they put out an updated version.
Bro I think you got shadow ban from UA-cam because when I open UA-cam I don't get your new videos notification but when I click on your main profile UA-cam channel I see your video that you upload today bro please tell to youtube that have you get shadowban
@@chrisBlofeld I know they don’t have thread or matter support right now. Nanoleaf is the only lighting company going in on thread that I know of. That includes their normal colored bulbs. I use Nanoleaf with thread and it just works. Plus it will help to extend your thread network.
Bought a Govee Lyra recently and I was super impressed with it. Will definitely pick these up at some point as they look fantastic. Light is nicely diffused and the customizable segments are brill. Thanks for the review!
Great video ❤️ you two are amazing together!! So I actually bought this last week for my son's birthday, I'm really impressed with this kit - everything you say about it vs the nanoleaf kit we already have is true. And you have to hope that the competition to nanoleaf in this market might actually drive prices down..maybe?? Here's hoping!
I've been waiting for you guys review on this one! Love love love Govee products and I'm going to go ahead and scoop up a set for my son's room and then maybe for our Arcade as well. Our entire house including the Arcade, display cases, work station , arcade cabinets and tv all have Govee RGBIC LEDs. Can't get enough of them. Definitely best bang for your buck. Keep up the great work , stay clean and as always Game On my friends!
Dude I installed 20 titles in my living room. Everyone loves coming to my house (2bedroom mid size living room) for a small/ mid size gathering solid 15-20 ppl. It’s definitely the highlight of the night and my friends constantly rave over them!!!!! I set it to an inverted L shape design. Reach of floor to ceiling lateral to the door. smaller corridor that leads to the kitchen. Got these on a sale 350$ Linked 2 sets 20 tiles.
Nice review! Glad to see Govee eating away at all the overpriced things out there like Nanoleaf/Philips Hue. Do you know if these include Thread compatibility (so the device can act as a router to trickle other signals to other thread devices)? I own about 12 Govee things already and many other 2.4 ghz things on my network...I'm losing the ability to reliably control everything because I'm at about 70+ smart devices/lights in my setups... so my network is clogged... even with a nice triband wifi setup. These are basically like larger Cololights! Though I do wish the light went all the way to the edge. One of the reasons I love govee too is it has the bluetooth backup.
Wanted to buy Nanoleaf panels but didn't want to spend so much money for a product that has known connection issues. Glad Govee made this since I already use their LED strip which works perfectly. Definitely gonna buy this.
I have an aura and a Lyra for almost a year now. Never had connection issues. Everything else I have, like google nest, Eve, HomePod mini, cheap tuya plugs (I had also cheap tuya lights). All dropped at least one e from the network. My biggest pro for govee is: they don’t reset themselves after a power outage. They just come silently back online.
I was planning to get the Govee Glide Hexalights, but there aren’t anyone in my country who sell those. The fact that in our country the Nanoleaf Hexagon shapes starter set go for 160 USD (original seller), I am so going with Nanoleaf, I’m shocked that the Govee Glide Hexalights are more expensive here looking from online shops.
"I need some wine" I DIED. Please keep including bloopers! So funny watching Josh laugh at Brit haha! Also good improvements on the focusing with the new cameras! I noticed the last couple vids was a little iffy. Great video as always guys!!
at the moment can pick them up in the uk for £150 i think over the other ones fully worth it and personally think govee look way better been wanting them for ages but didnt wanna pay like over the top like nanoleaf so glad govee have done some
Awesome video! I bought the Govee LED strips based on one of your previous videos and this one didn’t disappoint. Definitely going to put in an order for these since I was still waiting to pull the trigger on the nanoleaf panels.
Amazing video!! going over the DIY in the app helped me so much. I was wondering how to add custom colors and choose the effect and didnt even see the DIY option
One thing to mention Nanoleaf definitely has better exposure and customization due to being able to connect to PCs and screen copying for immersion something Govee has yet to go to. Until the get a desktop app and have better connectivity between other companies they will not be as good than them. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE GOVEE HAS IS BETTEE BY A MILE AND WHEN THEY DO THAT THEY WILL BE THE BEST
For that price, I’d rather spend the extra couple dollars and go with nanoleaf, if they were cheaper then definitely something worth getting but being so close to nanoleaf pricing, hard to choose this over a nanoleaf
You guys ROCK... Love your channel. Great content and you work well together. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Office. You guys ever thought about doing Room Makeovers? Great video...
Love the last blog post. Look forward to all your posts. I have a newly painted neutral gray wall behind my desk. Undecided on what to put there, above/behind my 49" monitor. Greetings from Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, BTW. Yo!
Shockingly well made video. You told everything I needed to know in a clear and concise manner without too much repetition and extraneous fluff that so many content creators these days torment their viewers with.
Hey guys, great video. Convincing me to get more of their stuff. Not sure if I'll get a comment back on this but I was curious to know what those small hexagons you got all over your lower wall behind you at the start of the video. They seem quite lovely!
Man i just discoverd nanoleaf and was sold on it but now i discoverd two different alternatives and the force is not strong with me anymore and i'm not sure what to buy. I mean the nanoleafs have a lot features and the different tiles can be immediately recognized by the app once attached to the existing tiles on the wall for example, something the other alternatives can't do. Nanoleaf on the other hand is pretty expensive and the app doesn't seem to work so Good😕
Is there any way to get these lights in aus. I have been looking and its a lot more expensive to get this product than the Nano leaf and the sipping is over 200 dollars. I think govee is a lot better than Nanoleaf.
yano whatd be cool for these panels nano leaf or others? if we could have an app to really get technical with the music sync. because right now they are all garbage , even strips . sure its ok with the latest cardi b boring doof doof songs, but ANY kind of rhythm pattern thats got more tempo than a grandfather clocks hands, its a mess and just totally unimpressive. id love to even be able to customize a light show for my favourite songs , yeah itd take time . but itd be good for parties
So how does this work with HomeKit? I don’t see HomeKit support listed on the box, and that’s what I’m building. Also are they mesh or Thread compatible like NanoLeaf?
By far better looking than the Nanoleaf, who dropped the ball on their Hex panel design, especially for the price they insist on charging. Govee is winning this game.
Govee is better. The lines do are little irritating but that's just me and for me the pros that govee gives that makes up for all the cons so govee is better

These are sick. Might have to replace my 2 nano leaf sets. Great video guys.
replace nanoleaf? why though, nanoleaf is better this is just an alternative for it
Glad someone said something about the Nanoleafs falling off the network. I had a set and that got so annoying. When I moved I left them on the wall

@@DePaii7 It's still a bit cheaper but the main thing is that I know Govee is reliable unlike Nanoleaf. Plus it looks better imho.
@@CatCubed Not a fan of the looks tbh. They are way smaller than nanoleafs plus they are thick as fuck. I will stick to the thin nanoleafs
These are awesome! If I had some extra money I would totally get some!
1:33 ISO LOLOLOL
Thanks guys ..
Your UA-cam VLOGS have given me loads of ideas for my gaming room ..
Cheers very much love indeed
I love the lights can you please tell me where did you get the rocket candy dish?????

Brittany, you did a fantastic job at the end finally getting the name right 😂 Thanks for the review! Glad you’re liking them so far.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 lmao I just couldn't focus because josh was making me laugh 🤣🤣
I'm just happy they're built like they can take anything stronger then a stiff breeze in
I think best alternative to nanoleaf is Yeelight Magic light. You definitely should try that 😅
Govee has some really good kit at very competitive prices
I'm gonna need that candy rocket
Great video guys, yall are killing it together and this video is very informative and well made, makes me want to buy a set!!!
Thanks sean! 🙌🙌🙌❤

Dont buy nanoleaf it's ass bro it's si hard to pair and its gonna fall of ur wall
They are cheaper. 10 panels from Goovee is $200 Nano leaf doesn’t even sell 10 the most is 7 for $200.
And not beign able to connect nanoleaf to app is even worse

Does the sticky pad damage the wall or paint with removal?

Guys, can you make a video in which you explain how to hide the cables from all of these RGB products? I saw you have them hidden under a withe cover.
"I need some wine..", hah! i'll drink to that! my kind of girl - keep up the great content

Nanoleaf stills the best option for this kind of product
About to move so I'm going to have these, the rgbic strips, and bulbs around the room so they all sink up
Not all come with the segment, only the rgbic ones!
Yoooo where can I get the candy dispenser from I need it 🔥
Target!
Awesome video guys, I might have to get some of these
Glad you enjoyed! Do it!

9:10 “iso”. Filmmaker talk haha
These look pretty cool
I was just about to buy some nanoleafs. Lowkey might get the generic version now
I want some! ❤️ Look great!
I like them 100 all way great vid. Gave a like love the gumball machine.
Govee is CooL
Do these damage walls? Remove paint?
If these are waterproof I'd put these as Christmas lights lmao

do you get a remote w this pls respond

Can they work on 5ghz Wi-Fi without a router
How many lamps can you connect to a power supply?
What camera do you guys use for these videos and live streaming
are these bluetooth and wifi control like the govee led strips are?
All about Govee
I love subdued light. to see the effects of the light , not the light itself. Subtle, those nonoleaf panels are too bright.
WHAT CHAIR IIS THAT!!!!!!!
These look better than Nanoleaf
The lighting in the video is insane
❤❤❤
hello from France, your channel and great. =) =)
Is there any way to purchase this from India???? Please reply !!
You guys live inside an RGB computer case.
Vs lifx tile?
The UK code doesn't work 😩
whats the candy dispenser at the end ?
From target!
Why should I buy these, when the nanoleafs have nearly the same price?
Govee is better. The lines do are little irritating but that's just me and for me the pros that govee gives that makes up for all the cons so govee is better
Not available in the US and uk! Not good!
YOU GUYS ARE SO COOL OH MY GODDDDDDDDD
MEGAA MEESH AYY
I'll have a P please Bob!
1:33 did she said iso instead of ios😂
I did 🤣 my bad
she really said iso..
Govee > Nanoleaf
They are just as expensive tbh
Tempting 🤔
Well, I don’t like the borders at all…
Glad Govee is destroying these overpriced garbage companies.
bro wth these are more expensive then nanoleafs
Fake Nanoleaf damn
Oh damn I like the stretchable connectors
