It is impossible to create a Halo map that competitive players won't complain about initially. I've had fun on the map in the games I have played on it though.
343 should just do what Valve does with Counter-Strike and keep iterating on the available maps by updating them based on pros' feedback to make them more & more competitive (keep the OG layout available in Social & Forge for preservation's sake though)
Nuke was hated by pros & viewers when it first got into the map pool, but as time went on and the map kept getting changed to make it more competitively viable, it became one that's liked by pros & loved by many viewers
@@malif1279 Counterstrike has tons of great community maps and they're choosing to play maps that were made more than a decade ago. Not because they're better, but because they're familiar.
There is no need to stagnate the way Counterstrike has in that regard.
I think the map has the identity of a halo map which is a good part of it. I do agree with shyway that the tunnel route really does break up the flow of the map. Personally I am curious how a grapple or even repulse would play on the map in being able to get out from tunnel
Same. It's large enough to have more utilities like a repulsor, grapple, shroud and possibly that teleporter. Maybe a man canon. Not sure pro want all that though.

This map is nice but it would be better if they "closed" the back base side in both sides.
Map is a maze and the long range gun fights are numerous, fun and confusing
give that map two grapples and change the low hallway thing. it would be awesome
This map wpuld be way better if you could make the gap jumps from the bottom
Nah I like that one-way jump. If you could make that then it would be easy to sneak into the enemy base

Need to stop making maps with 1000 different angles from every position every room has a door at each side every spot is accessible from everywhere your just constantly exposed. Start adding good forge maps like halo 3 did. This map is a pain in the ass
I’ll be curious to see how the map plays on pro8s and scrims before writing it off for good.
