My expectations on the SONIC MOVIE 3 are VERY HIGH.

I too am hoping that Maria will be part of Shadow’s backstory, both because of the beautiful storytelling but also for the reactions of casual moviegoers who have no idea what happens to Maria >:D i live for the drama

I wish during April fools sega would announce a new character for sonic movie three and like everyone thinks it’s rouge or amy but they instead say it’s cream the rabbit would be a funny April fools prank but they didn’t do that

In SA2 Amy was more influential to Shadow than Rouge.
Is her who surprised him with a hug, not Rouge. Shadow opened up to her, not to Rouge. I believe placing Amy on Rouge place in certain situations may even lead to more meaningful moments. Shadouge thing happened from Sonic Heroes. There we saw a Shadow who was caring an gentle toward Rouge, but he never opened up to her, not the way he did toward Sonic and Amy by the end of SA2.
In SA2 Rouge was placed there to give a rival to Knuckles. She became meaningful in following game. Amy was more important despite being non playable.
I think Amy and Rouge will both be in the movie
I'm really looking forward to see Sonic and Shadow interections in the movie!

Because I saw that the thumbnail of this video had the name of the Live & learn song on it, incase you don't already know, that popular song 100% will be included into Sonic 3 because after being e-mailed about the situation by some desperate fans, the Crush 40 lead singer/songwriter (Johnny Gioeli) replied with a confirmation that he had signed a deal that Paramount can have the rights to that banger and use it in the third movie in whatever way they think is nessassary. Unfortunately it hasn't been officially revealed if any other songs from that rock band will also be included though.
Silver is currently my third favorite character in the Sonic franchise beside Sonic and Shadow. I think that if he would get included into Sonic 3, the best way would be for him to appear in that movie's mid-credits scene saying: "It's time to fix my reality!" and for Paramount to make the fourth Sonic movie be a more well written adaption of Sonic 06. He can get more focus in that future movie because he played a big role in that game, and it is possible because when I was shown online the list of Sonic games that Sega is allowing Paramount to adapt, it got revealed that Sonic 06 is on that list.
There was a leak of the Storyboards of Sonic 3, and they do show a yet announced character. (I'm not saying who to avoid spoilers, but if you're curious, you can go ahead and search for it)
I'm torn about the inclusion of Amy and Rouge, the thing is I want the movie to heavily revolve around the dynamic between Sonic and Shadow, and I feel like the dynamics that both characters bring to the table will be complicated enough to need a large chunk of screen time that can pull away from the Sonic and Shadow dynamic, I feel we can have one, but not both, however I want to see both really badly. Honestly I think the best conclusion would be letting Amy be in it, and introducing Rouge as a character, but keeping her big dynamics with Shadow and with Knuckles for a later movie.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's gonna be any Live and Learn in the movie. I think this because in the Sonic 2 logo reveal, they played an orchestral remix of Emerald Hill Zone . . . which to my (extreme) disappointment, was not in the movie. AND EVEN WORSE, Tom Holkenborg, the composer for the sonic movies believes that "Movies are superior to games" so . . .
But...in a post on Twitter, it has been stated that Paramount has secured the rights to Crush 40's Live And Learn song, even the lead singer Johny said it so. But as for the intentions of how they'll use remains unknown, whenever it'll be the original studio version of the song, or a new composition of the song by the movie's music composer.

Really looking forward to this movie like alot of other folks but is it just me that's just a lil salty that we'll probably never see metal get a chance in the spotlight? Like granted I've accepted that the movies are thier own thing but I feel like if they played thier cards right he could've been a good villan to have before we jumped to shadow and could've introduced Amy alongside him but that's just me, nice video and great art btw

As much as everyone would to see Sonic Movie 3 as the Sonic Adventure 2 movie, i need to remind you all that it doesn't have to be the direct adaptation or exact copy of the SA2 storyline.
Sure, they'll take elements from the original source material like the games, but they also need to be original as well.
