Well done! I love how you made clear that the term "Applied Force" varies from teacher to teacher. For my own students I don't use the term at all -- a push with your hand on an object is.a "Normal Force", a pull with a rope is a "Tension Force", the force pushing a rocket forward is called a "Thrust Force". Thank you for making clear that the term "Applied Force" is used differently by different people.
Its one of those terms I started using ~33 years ago before I knew any better. I've sin e come to realize the names we give to forces may be way over-rated.
