The episode where Phil hears Aly sing and he loves her voice so he tries to convince her to sing in front of a crowd at a talent show but because of her stage fright that developed from a performance she did years earlier she was scared to do it. Thanks to Phil he helps her find the courage and overcome it by shrinking himself to be by her side literally hanging from the mic while she was on stage singing. I don't remember BTR too much, but growing up in MN I remember it being pretty popular in school since the guys were Minnesotan. The music was also pretty decent too. Seems they've had a bit of a resurgence lately through memes at least, which is kinda interesting.
Don't think I've seen this since I was a teen, but I used to watch this whenever it was on. As much as I love the theme song, in retrospect I'm surprised Aly didn't have anything to do with it seeing as her and her sister are in a band.
This show was actually my favorite Disney Channel series. It was also the first thing I watched on Disney plus. This was a great video and brought back good memories. Thanks for uploading! Keep up the good work.

Surprised with how much you've improved editing wise! I honestly didn't think it was necessary since it was already amazing in my eyes but the tremendous improvement, my GOD
One of the most interesting things that I found in the show was them not having pinky toes because people evolved to not have them anymore. And I believe they said it was just so they didn't stun it anymore
That Disney Channel commercial bumper brought me back to sitting on the floor in front of the TV with cookies as a child. Nostalgia is a HELL OF A DRUG
I remember when I was younger, Phil of the Future would be on late at night and it always felt different then any other show on Disney channel. As you said, I definitely wouldn’t say it was my favourite show on Disney channel but it always kept my interest when I was younger and it had a lot of memorable episodes.
I loved this show as a kid. It was definitely one of the more memorable shows because twelve years later, and I still remember huge chunks of episodes and jokes. And, yes, that theme song was amazing.
This was also the introduction of Danielle Panabaker's little sister to me too, who here in Phil in the Future was pretty creepy in that Stepford Wives kinda vibe, also I thought Emily Osment was Amy Bruckner when I watched Hannah Montana, they looked pretty similar IMO.
Loved Phil of the Future!!! Iconic for so many reasons that you listed. Aly & AJ still make amazing music btw! Also I never really made that Wizards of Waverly Place connection, but you’re spot on with their similarities (and with both of them being great and memorable shows!)
Great video, just got two things to say: 1.) It’s “Cow Belles,” not “Cow Bellas.” Tis a pun. 2.) Fun fact about “Cow Belles:” it premiered on March 24th, 2006. After it premiered, Disney debuted a new show at the time. It was this little known show with no cultural impact called “Hannah Montana” 😉
I had the pleasure to meet Craig Anton (the dad) at a national theatre convention. Cool, nice guy! At the time he was working for Savannah College of Art and Design, and he may still be
I remember this one waaaay more than I thought. Like how people have evolved away pinky toes, the milk engine, and Lin-Clone. Also Keely saying gossip traveled at the speed of light then Phil saying that’s pretty slow but good enough (or something close anyway lol)
I remember watching this show when I was young. It and Even Stevens were what I lived for back then. I don't remember much about either but both are great shows.
I think about this show all the time even now at my 24 years of age. I cant believe I haven't seen any of your videos before this. You get a sub from me!
Ricky Ullman straight up disappeared after this show ended. Wonder what happened to the guy I kinda thought he’d go the way of a Zac Efron, taking the step into Hollywood stardom
He didn't disappear. He's been in different tv shows and movies, but he goes by his Hebrew name Raviv instead. I think that he also does a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff as well.
Fun Fact: 'Ricky' Ullman's name is actually Raviv Ullman. He is in fact an Israeli-American actor and needed to white wash his name because 'Ricky' was "friendlier" to markets/audiences "sensibilities" because Raviv was harder to land American roles for.
I literally rewatched this series a week ago because it was one of my most favorite shows, it gives me the warmest feelings and pure happiness. Ik its clumsy and kinda weird but cute! It also introduced Aly&Aj to me years ago and I fell in love immediately, Alyson is adorable. Yesss, I love it 😩💗
This was my absolute favorite family channel (Disney channel for Canada back in the day) show. I would stay up till 3am as a kid just to sneak on my TV and reruns of it and Life With Derek.
Danny Phantom as well. In that case the origins story episode was deliberately saved for later, unlike Phil where Disney stuck it mid season for reasons I guess.
This legit use to play maaaaddd early in the morning like even when I was a preteen me and my cousin would just watch this brandy and mister whiskers and dave the barbarian till we were finally tired enough to knock out siiigggh 😂😂😂
Without a doubt in my top 3 Disney Channel shows as a kid. The premise really worked for tiny nerdy me, I adored the relationships between all the characters (Phil and Keely getting together was a huge moment for me), and it was just way too fun and didn’t take itself too seriously.
I always wondered, is the Halloween episode cannon? When it revealed that Pym's frienemy is actually an evil cyborg that tried to take over the world...with cupcakes. She was gone after that episode, and I think the robot sub-plots for the mom was added to her
The acting was great, in my opinion, the sound effects were fun and way better than a laugh track… the cave man. Mid 2000s is where I’d want to go probably
3:37 THANKYOU. They put Phil of the Future on Disney+ and I couldn’t see the mom with a detachable head ANYWHERE. And I swear I had seen something like that when a kid. And remembering that they didn’t do that gimmick a whole lot. :/ Thankyou for cleaning that up!
I was 18 or so when this came out, so I definitely wasn't a child. I like Disney stuff, and I did not have much of a life, so I watched it when I was bored, but also genuinely liked it, just didn't love it (I mean, the plots weren't deep and it was a comedy. On Disney Channel.). That said, it wasn't awful and I can say that without nostalgia goggles. Plus I'm just a sucker for time-travel stories because I'm a big nerd. Fun show. Edit: Wow. I think I unknowingly stole Pim's cheery rival for a (non-related Agents of Shield) fanfic, just aged her up and called her Candy. Funny how things stick with us.
Man, this was my #1 favorite show for a (looking back, a relatively short time) when I was a teen. Ahhh the nostalgia bomb. Thank you for this video. P.S. Curtis was the man.
Wait, they edited out the mom's cyborg body? I distincly remember it coming up in several episodes, like when her arms got stuck churning butter, or the dad reminiscing over their first date.
When you are young, you feel left out and think there is no one like you. But thanks to the internet we now know there many like us out there. Its my first time watching this channel but I will sub for sure. I want whoever watches this to know that you are not alone anymore

I don't remember BTR too much, but growing up in MN I remember it being pretty popular in school since the guys were Minnesotan. The music was also pretty decent too.
Seems they've had a bit of a resurgence lately through memes at least, which is kinda interesting.
i agree
Got too excited when I saw you cover Phil Of the Future, not alot of people even know bout this. Thankyou!
What a show. I still sing ‘Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree. It’s Christmas time don’t kill us!’ every Christmas in my head😂
Don't think I've seen this since I was a teen, but I used to watch this whenever it was on. As much as I love the theme song, in retrospect I'm surprised Aly didn't have anything to do with it seeing as her and her sister are in a band.
that was probably later on. also they were in a tv movie 2007 my super sweet 16 such a funny underrated film
Great video man! Brings back some sweet nostalgia!!
Thanks so much!
This show was actually my favorite Disney Channel series. It was also the first thing I watched on Disney plus. This was a great video and brought back good memories. Thanks for uploading! Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching!
When you showed the clips of “we’ll be back to the show” and “now we’re back” made me nostalgic
I’m emo I so want to go back to see my childhood
If time machines were real
Those few seconds kicked me in the chest and told me I'm old. 🤣
I absolutely loved this show!! I hated that it ended. Thank you for making this video!! Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks so much for watching!
I LOVE this show, when I saw it was on Disney+ I clicked on it IMMEDIATELY!! LoL 😂😂😂 edit: can you please do a video on the dcom Minutemen?? I'd love to see that!!
Holy shit I loved minutemen!!
@@Karlalovescandy18 yeah me too, it might even be the first time Jason Dolly played a teenager AS an actual teenager 😂
@@16taysia He streams on Twitch now too.
Minutemen is my favorite DCOM of the late 00s
Surprised with how much you've improved editing wise! I honestly didn't think it was necessary since it was already amazing in my eyes but the tremendous improvement, my GOD
Thanks so much for all the support!
One of the most interesting things that I found in the show was them not having pinky toes because people evolved to not have them anymore. And I believe they said it was just so they didn't stun it anymore
Pretty stark evolution for 100 years 😂
@@m.c.martin I'd be pretty stoked to not have to worry about hitting my pinky toe on anything ever again lol
PHIL PHILLL PHIL OF THE FUTURE! Awesome and well put video Jordan! This show was really underrated
Brenda Song’s first role on Disney was the ultimate Christmas present
He was talking about how it was her first role as a series regular.
@@kaly5678 She wasn't a series regular here, she played a recurring character, only appearing in 8 episodes of the 1st season
This is why I'm subscribed to this channel. Brilliant commentary on a super underrated show
I appreciate the kind words and support! Thanks so much! 😄
That Disney Channel commercial bumper brought me back to sitting on the floor in front of the TV with cookies as a child. Nostalgia is a HELL OF A DRUG
Those old Disney channel intro/outros are still iconic
I remember when I was younger, Phil of the Future would be on late at night and it always felt different then any other show on Disney channel. As you said, I definitely wouldn’t say it was my favourite show on Disney channel but it always kept my interest when I was younger and it had a lot of memorable episodes.
Phil of the Future gave me so much happiness as a kid… I think I especially liked that the main girl had the same name as me 😂
Back then we were all Keely, but rewatching this in 2021 with our younger friends we're all Phil.
Great video, just got two things to say:
1.) It’s “Cow Belles,” not “Cow Bellas.” Tis a pun.
2.) Fun fact about “Cow Belles:” it premiered on March 24th, 2006. After it premiered, Disney debuted a new show at the time. It was this little known show with no cultural impact called “Hannah Montana” 😉
Slip of the tongue, my bad on that lol Thanks for watching!
@@JordanFringe94 most welcome! Keep up the great content!
Loved this show. I'm honestly glad I found your channel a little late bc I have so much content to go through and memberberries to eat.
i loved this show. early 2000s was a simpler time.
Seeing this video was a trip. I remember some of those scenes extremely vividly and this was such a great nostalgia trip
Wonder what happened to the guy
I kinda thought he’d go the way of a Zac Efron, taking the step into Hollywood stardom
He didn't disappear. He's been in different tv shows and movies, but he goes by his Hebrew name Raviv instead. I think that he also does a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff as well.
@@kaly5678
Is he in American shows and films still? Or in Israeli stuff?
@@kaly5678 He appeared in Christy Carlson Romano's Channel a year ago
I loved Phil of the future but Ricky wasn’t as big as zac Efron not even close
@@m56214 he was even at a Phill of the future reunion
I loved this show and was sad it didnt keep going. Was lovely listening to your review.
Fun Fact: 'Ricky' Ullman's name is actually Raviv Ullman. He is in fact an Israeli-American actor and needed to white wash his name because 'Ricky' was "friendlier" to markets/audiences "sensibilities" because Raviv was harder to land American roles for.
As soon as you mentioned the theme song, it instantly popped back in my head and now wont go away
The theme song was just as good as Samurai Jack in explaining the show
Danny Phantom as well. In that case the origins story episode was deliberately saved for later, unlike Phil where Disney stuck it mid season for reasons I guess.
YOOOO I LOVED THIS SHOW, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO AND REMINDING ME
Thanks so much for watching!
This legit use to play maaaaddd early in the morning like even when I was a preteen me and my cousin would just watch this brandy and mister whiskers and dave the barbarian till we were finally tired enough to knock out siiigggh 😂😂😂
Yessssss!!!
This is one of the first shows I watched when Disney plus came out. Man I missed this show! So glad you did a video on it.
I'm surprised how kid me didn't realize that Curtis and the vice principal were played by the same actor. It's so obvious know
Without a doubt in my top 3 Disney Channel shows as a kid. The premise really worked for tiny nerdy me, I adored the relationships between all the characters (Phil and Keely getting together was a huge moment for me), and it was just way too fun and didn’t take itself too seriously.
0:45 Dang, his posterior is quite large(?)
Lil thick-o
THATS A THICCC BOY!!
Bit thikkk innit
Thiccc
Thicc
I have fond memories of watching this show. I never missed an episode of this show.
I always wondered, is the Halloween episode cannon? When it revealed that Pym's frienemy is actually an evil cyborg that tried to take over the world...with cupcakes. She was gone after that episode, and I think the robot sub-plots for the mom was added to her
The theme song of this show was everything. I still use it to remember what century it is sometimes.....
The acting was great, in my opinion, the sound effects were fun and way better than a laugh track… the cave man. Mid 2000s is where I’d want to go probably
It was before my time but I still got to watch reruns much later and I really liked it. I still watch it today.
I always thought Jim Rash "the Dean from the Community" was the principal never bothered to look it up.
Funny enough the principal/caveman guest starred on Community as a Moby impersonator who is hired to impersonate Jim Rash's character.
3:37 THANKYOU. They put Phil of the Future on Disney+ and I couldn’t see the mom with a detachable head ANYWHERE. And I swear I had seen something like that when a kid. And remembering that they didn’t do that gimmick a whole lot. :/
Thankyou for cleaning that up!
Saying "The Disney Channel" is a way to tell people your old without telling them your old (born before 97).
finally someone is talking about this show.
Oh hi Evan Peters, Brenda Song, Kay Panabaker, and of course, Aly Michalka (Not the AJ)
Wait, they edited out the mom's cyborg body? I distincly remember it coming up in several episodes, like when her arms got stuck churning butter, or the dad reminiscing over their first date.
I saw the thumbnail and like the Kool-Aid Man bursting through the wall the theme song shot into my mind
Now this was definitely a Disney sitcom that was the major shit back in the day.
thanks for the commercial feeling jordan, you’re a legend
This show lives rent free in my brain and I feel like almost no one talks about it
You must not think often if your thoughts are required to pay rent to ur brain, weirdo
I loved this show! Thanks for this video.
When you are young, you feel left out and think there is no one like you. But thanks to the internet we now know there many like us out there. Its my first time watching this channel but I will sub for sure. I want whoever watches this to know that you are not alone anymore
Thanks so much for the kind words and support! 😄
I watched some of Disney's Zombies last night, the cast gave me definite Phil of the Future vibes. It made me nostalgic for it, then you post this? Intriguing...
One of the few Disney Live action shows where I still can sing the lyrics to the opening songs. Thank you for reminding me what a golden age Disney Channel used to be
