- 2011-2017 Nissan Juke, all manual transmissions are the TL4... except the Juke RS, which uses the ND5, which is a totally different ball of wax. Sorry RS guys, you're on your own there.
Recommended tools: A quality hammer that is NOT a claw hammer. Roller Pin Punch set makes sure you won't be saying "damn if only I had that tool, this would be so much easier". Whole bunch of assorted other tools for removal of battery and all the nonsense in the way to access the shifter linkage (not covered in this video). Hopefully you won't need a drill.
At the time of writing, this part was available from www.short-shifters.com for €129,00, which is about $147 USD. Worth it? Hell yea. Shifting experience is significantly more improved.
Much love and appreciation to Jimmie for sponsoring this video and providing me fair warning that this install was going to suck. Thanks homie!!

Will you install a short shifter like yours on my 2014 Nissan Sentra 6 speed for a price?
You did a great and professional job and a concise tutorial presentation. Thanks!👍
pretty unlikely. and thank you.
Remember mm of pin? You recommend to take out both pins? I saw you struggled a little to make the outter pin enter in the new model... Should I buy another pin instead of using the same?
I don't remember the size of the pin, but punches are sold by the set so that shouldn't be a concern. My only 'new' advice is to use the shortest appropriately sized punch paired with a palm nailer to make removal as easy as possible.
Do we have to adjust something else for the right function of short shift or just take out the old and put on the new?
out with the old, in with the new! wham bam! (and several more bams with the hammer)
@@Bythirteen :) thanks a lot.i have the 1.6 benzin motor with 113 ps and 5 gear manuel transmition.I hope i can change it easily
The pins are the worst part and you need a good hammer to get them out. I used penetrating oil after i heated it up a wii bit a torch. Careful there is a rubber seal under the shift linkage on the shaft.
You mean not a claw hammer?! 😆
@@Bythirteen I just cut off the claw. Now it's a good hammer. Lol
@@Not2day-Satan poor de-clawed hammer, it won't be able to catch nails in the wild now.
Should have modified the Claw hammer with a cut off wheel. Got some aggression out.
gasp! clearly you do not understand the sentimental significance of that claw hammer. It has constructed over 100 homes with Habitat for Humanities. It will be forever cherished and loved and certainly not chopped in half! .... also, any excuse to buy a SnapOn 20oz deadblow hammer, purchased literally right after this install.

Awesome.
you are!
who tf paints his battery?
skilled painters, generally.
Well my rollpin was completely seized. Tried to drill it out, drill bit snapped inside. So now I have to drill out the drillbit and the inner pin. This install is awful because this design is just garbage.
the design is totally fine... it's your intention to modify the design that makes it garbage. :P
@@Bythirteen how the hell did you drill this thing out? What size bits? I’ve been at it for hours with little progress in moving these pins.
watch the video. don't get frustrated. drill carefully and correctly. use proper tooling. walk away as necessary. but most importantly: get offline. you'll get it eventually. or you won't. either way, it'll be okay.
@@Bythirteen yea I’ve watched it 10 times. Guess I’ll keep drilling. Don’t know how you got chunks of the inner pin. Mine just wastes away as I drill.
