Well, greetings from Argentina! This is one of the very late models, straight imports, all of them. The closest consoles to «local production» were the «Edu Juegos» brand (you'll recognize those by the green label), and the «Dynacom» brand (beige box, a bit weird). We jumped straight to Famiclones after that.
In the Uk I used to have a TVBoy Ii, it had the identical boot menu and music, that had 128 games, no cartridge slot, no second player, no difficulty switches. Just start and reset. Still some great games. I still have the unit, it just got wore out after many hours of play. Btw it's Bobby is Going Home.
It looks like the label was deliberately flipped to appear more modern, with the controller ports on the front of the system. It's just unfortunate that the power and video ports reside their as well. If you look at the label, it's meant to line up with the switches, upside-down.
That's what I thought first too, unfortunately the labels do not match the switches. Same with the power led, which is hidden under a label rather than being underneath that red line all the way on the other end. It would have been a cool look.
@@RetroCave-wr9tlYou're right. I didn't notice the power and reset labels were reversed. So, the power LED lights up under the label and the LED window has nothing behind it? Lol
