@@scottfleming7985 I could be wrong, but in L.A goff seemed to brush off mcvay and the rest of the staff, aside from when the cameras were clearly focusing on them. In my opinion he looked like he was being forced to hold hands with coach mcvay and wanted to be able to just do his own thing.

I'm lovin' it! Being a serious Detroit Lions fan since 1975, I haven't EVER seen this organization go all out to put it's best foot forward like I have seen so far. Yes, I know it's the off season and no games have been played to prove anything yet. But I believe that a winning organization goes all out to select the right people to build a winning culture before the season starts. Then the players know what's expected when they come in. That being said, many of the latest free agents have been brought in signing "prove it" one year deals. That means they all have an incentive chip on their shoulders, with their career's reputation on the line to play like they're on fire! I'm satisfied with the direction the Lions are going in, because at least they too are willing to "prove it" to the fans that they are truly committed to winning football games in Detroit, and hopefully in 2-3 years, bring this City a championship. Thank you Sheila Ford Hemp for listening to your fans and responding to our passion for this team. Our desire is that when and wherever we go wearing our Detroit Lions gear, we want to wearing it Lions proud. God bless this organization and the great City of Detroit ❤

here we are in Dec 2022 and Goff is lighting it up for the Lions. They have won 6 of their last 7 games with Goff at QB. Goff was no hand off bust from the Rams. He has been exactly as Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell saw him as - an underappreciated talented QB. Go Lions

@@cm202 I miss the old game. To me, it seemed like the players were a lot tougher. Quarterbacks didn't slide to avoid being hit. There was no "helmet to helmet" penalty. There was no rule about hitting a "defenseless player". The rule change that I hate the most, though, is that the ground can't cause a fumble. When I was young, a fumble was a fumble. It didn't matter how the player lost the ball. That rule change rewards guys for not being able to hold onto the ball.

I am from NE Ohio and have been a Lion’s fan since approximately 1986. I started following them because they were nicknamed the Lion’s and I liked Lion’s. Being from were I’m from, my dream has always been to see a Lion’s vs Brown’s Super Bowl. With our new hire at HC and GM, I am so unbelievably excited for what’s to come. Go Lion’s!!!

Knowing how to communicate with players and getting them to open up and trust you is everything. Love that coach mentioned that of his staff. That factor certainly wasn't there before but it was when coach Caldwell was there. And it showed. I feel like we are back on track

I'm thinking 8-9 or 9-8 first year for them. With new players and learning new system i think that's pretty damn good especially considering how the last regime left this team in utter shambles. Maybe next year i see 10-8,11-7
@@tjls123 Ok, I will simplify it like in my line of work. You can have a great carpenter, But he has to use hand tools. No lasers, no rotozip to cut drywall, no screamer saw to cut the metal studs, There for he is limited to production ability, Then there's carpenters out there who work for a great company, have lazers, rotozips, screamer saws, cutoff wheels and all the tools but are dumb as a box of rocks. To me that is the difference between tools and personnel. Last regime had many of the tools to be successful, but were dumb as a box of rocks, This regime has may not have all the tools needed to be a Super Bowl contender, but i believe have the right personnel and players to build off of. Make sense?

Coach Campbell, GM Holmes... having committed to supporting Detroit Athletics since the time I understood sports (early 80's; I was 8 when the Tigers defeated the Padres at the '84 World Series) is a source of personal pride. I was proud to be a Lions fan when they broke the wrong record in 2008. This is the first off-season ever, in my life, that I've rallied behind ownership, applauded, and truly cheered with enthusiasm the regime change and championed the personnel decisions. The Detroit Lions are the only NFC team to not make a Super Bowl appearance. Not since that heartbreaking NFC championship loss in the 1991 season to the Washington Redskins (FT) did I ever believe my favorite team was going to go. I truly believe in my heart that the Brad Holmes/ Dan Campbell era will make me once again a believer and not just a delusional loyalist; a fan. The Lion's den is special because the pride is comprised of people that are more deserving of the label "great fans". We're members of the Lion pride of Detroit, our Roar will be known across the entire jungle that is the NFL and we'll hunt together as a team, we'll eat as a team, and together we'll rule the jungle as a pride. That's more than being a fanatic; that's family. The Lion nation is a family and if I could finish my commentary with this message to Sheila Ford: no matter what, don't be the team owner that fires the coach after a couple of seasons just because of results being less than the "experts" (read media) expectations. You were smart for signing Coach Campbell for at least a 5 year contract. This leadership we've finally been blessed with will develop the players, will implement a winning system that the league will don "the Lions Way" and will harbor a non-toxic healthy culture that veteran free agents will be attracted towards. The game of football isn't won with the best players; it's won with the RIGHT players. The future Super Bowl match ups I'm too excited for are the Browns vs. Lions, Chiefs vs. Lions, Bills vs. Lions, Dolphins vs. Lions and the Colts vs. Lions. I hope coach implements a defense that's a top 5 "D" week in and week out and hope Coach Anthony Lynn has an offensive scheme that makes sense. Remember what that crappy Wayne Fontes run and shoot offense did to Barry Sanders career? What Barry Sanders accomplished as an individual player is so special because of the dysfunctional offensive system he was a member of. I would hope Coach Lynn treats this as Michaelangelo would treat a blank canvas and treats Detroit Rock City to a masterpiece. Thank you for the space to allow this extended comment. I'm just bursting with excitement and enthusiasm for Detroit Lions football because it's really giving off a good vibe; this leadership crew is clicking and people on the outside looking in can feel it. I can feel it and it feels right, so let's keep moving forward, make progress and achieve for yourselves that you weren't even aware of!
