Howsabout YOU go find a song to draw a sample from, then draw the sample out, do the so-called "knob tweaking" (and actually understand what the knob is supposed to do), turn it into a cohesive whole, release it, and try to get big. Odds are, it ain't gonna happen. Also consider "One More Time" had the main synth pulled as a sample as well, and the original track sounded NOTHING like the end result. (And the entire RAM album was live instrumentation- Your move.)
