ICE CityZen Award 2023, Gold Award winners, Repton School | ICE

Repton School students Jacob, Louis, Sebastian, and William (Team Reptech) proposed a sustainable design project to transform Willington’s cooling towers into a carbon-neutral biogas generator.
Their project aims to utilise local food waste to produce green energy, benefiting the community and environment. The project phases included proposal, planning, suitability assessment and evaluation, showcasing effective stakeholder engagement and time management.
This initiative highlights green careers, sustainability and cross-curricular learning, emphasising the importance of citizenship in a modern careers programme.
