same, after losing weight and going from nearly obese to very underweight, im scared to gain fat but i want to build muscle but ik if i dont eat in a slight surplus at my weight if 102 pounds and 185cm, i wont gain muscle but at the same time i dont want to go back to 197 pounds like i was a year ago i was also 5 foot 9 this time last year@@YoGaGray
I deal with a lot of depression. This is very helpful. I always wanted to bulk and become a better version of myself but have a hard time because of my mental. This video is a great help 💯💯💯
I really needed to hear this. I went a little overboard cutting and ended up losing 40 pounds in the past year. Now I want to bulk back up and it’s great to know that others struggle with this.
I love this guy's story and I'm somewhat going through the same in terms of orthorexia and body dysmorphia after losing a bunch of weight - though I'm half his age. Great advice as always guys.
Sal made a great point about making an exercise harder without going heavy but you also dont want to take that to the extreme. You still need to use a fairly heavy weight to make continued development. For instance if your doing dumbell curls with 35s for 8 to 10 reps but its hurting your joints dont grab the 10s and do them for 30 reps and expect the same results.
I went from 150lbs to 108lbs after struggling with an eating disorder. I’ve been bulking for a while and am 114lbs now. Mentally, it’s incredibly hard and made my progress very slow. My butt is rounder and my thighs are a bit thicker but I still get so worried that everyone thinks I’m getting fat.
I lost 80 pounds about 4 months ago and then i plateaud. Ive maintained at 180 since and i have been trying to get myself to work out and gain muscle instead of being so obsessed with losing weight. Im going to give these 3 months a chance and i think the part that will help me the most is the performance diet rather than obsessing over numbers
Thank you for sharing this message and advice I appreciate it very much yall💯💪🏾 I can relate to this most definitely I’m currently needing to gain weight
I was really out of shape and finally managed to lose 5.5 stone over 7 months, it was like once I got results I became obsessed . Now I’m trying to bulk up, it’s so hard when you see that scale go up a pound even though that’s the goal , I struggle and think shit I’m getting fat I need to cut . Sounds stupid but I keep thinking of those 7 months of fasting and how much consistent effort and will power it took
I was fat, having to bulk makes me see my old self sometimes when I look in the mirror and I hate it but I’ve also been making gains, I can’t wait for the cut though
I lost 102lbs in 10months I’m bulking now Figured I am a genius at losing weight So if I gain too much I can lose it again no problem lol Time to get big boy gains
I was just thinking about this same thing. I lost 60 pounds and I want to build muscle but the idea of gaining weight also scares me
