Hi everyone!. I have a Benz A170, W169, year 2005, still running and serviced regularly. The issue with the car presently, is that when starting (fresh from rest), the transmission is somewhat 'choked' and the drive reduced. The indication then is 'Transmission..'. But, once the engine is turned off (obviously) and started anew , after a few minutes, everything works properly. When 'warm', car is ok. Recently, this has happened more than once during the same journey, after 'fresh' start. Again, after turn-off and turned back on after a few minutes, it worked good! The fluid level is ok too. Note that this only happens after 'cold' start. System hot - no problem. If anyone could comment and share similar experience, it will enable me to understand the issue, please. Many thanks!!!

Hi, I have A200 petrol manual but under my car I don't have plastic cover for gearbox and engine oil change. Is this from factory like that or I am missing engine cover? Thanks
Hi, thanks for this great video!!! a doubt: you say you entirely replace the atf, so... is the cooling system atf drained through the torque drain plug? no needed to "dialisis" the gearbox? (more than with the air gun) thanks in advance!!
Hello, i orderd a set for an oil change I have the same transmission number But i found 2 different types of Transmission seals one is just rubber like you showed in the Video and the other one i found is a hard piece of rubber wich isnt flexible. But they are both for the same transmisson number Are they both working or did i order a wrong one? I have the A180 diesel Hope u can help me With kind regards
I had exactly the same problem, I told the seller to bring me a thin metal gasket and when I took the shield down I saw that the oil pan of the gearbox has a thick and cheap rubber gasket..., so until you see what model you have no one can tell you exactly, not even after the chasi series

My torque converter hole is sealed over with a piece of metal? Is this normal?? Where the hole is, a piece of metal small piece is welded. Shall I remove it and drill a hole? And make threads lol
@@AutoMotohowto46 strange, I rotated the whole thing 3 times, full rotation. There was no hole. Only the welded patch of metal, over where the hole should be. I checked multiple times. Are u sure all of them have a hole to drain torque converter? Or maybe some it’s sealed.

La modelele asta inca mercedes sia scris marca pe motor fara a ascunde acest lucru daca ma intelegi ce vreau sa zic … , cat despre dat jos motor depinde ce piese sunt se inlocuit de ex daca e vorba de electromotor sau corp role transmisie se desfac doar suportii motor din spate , doar cei doi suporti si el coboara atat cat e nevoie dar in rest sunt povesti …. Spatiu de lucru este suficient
@@AutoMotohowto46 multumesc frumos. Am gasit din 2007 impecabil, neinmatriculat cu 3000€., benzina A170. Multi imi spun sa fug de ele ca trebuie sa dau motorul jos la orice si sunt scumpe la intretinere. Eu repar masini in particular dar ceva de ganul nu am intalnit.
@@AutoMotohowto46 inca ceva... daca schimb distributia, trebuie sa dau motorul jos sau se poate si asa? Ca as vrea sa pun uleiuri, filtre si distributie noua cand o cumpar, respectiv in 3 saptamani.
Thanku! Because after TCM change I have this fault P0730 the gear ratio in the continuously variable automatic transmission cvt is not permissble. I didnt have this fault before i change TCU
the measurement is made with a special dipstick for an automatic box with the engine running and warm oil, it should be on the number 6 from what I remember
definetely not the right procedure. wondering where the DUST AND SAND you raised with the air pistol will go and attach itself? definetely not to the oil exposed in the transmission and corverter, right? ... RIGHT?
@@marek196cI think you got it wrong. When he used compressed air, there is no dust, it is sprayed / mist oil sputtering because of the sheer force of the compressed air. All the places he is blowing are wet places, not dry, dusty ones as those in a clutch bell.
@@honestguy7764 Nope, 25:55 it's mormalø air gun, not the media blasting gun, the cloud rising is not the oil, is all the crap that is in the bell housing. that will attach to all wet surfaces, such exposed transmission. It it would be iol, the cloud that goes towards the lens would sit on it making the image foggy, not to mention that blowing the air will do nothing.
Attention: the level is measured with the engine running. Atentie : masurarea nivelului se face cu motorul pornit.

what you say is a counterweight for balancing the balance, the drain plug is exactly on the opposite side, you have to rotate the converter. ..

whoever worked there before me did the measurement with a cold engine, it was more than necessary but in some situations 6.4L liters works
