I think their small size makes them more versatile. Early season, when I’m hunting Teal, I can bring mostly hens and decoy teal with them. Throw the drakes into a group of their own and treat them like a confidence decoy.
The only reason you need larger decoys is to attract birds from a father distance, and that really only helps in open water hunting. When your in the marsh things blend in that it would take a 3 foot decoy to be seen at a long distance.

I love my last past and live series mallards! I love these new FA wigeon decoys also. Still gonna get some of the spoonies and one of the species they haven’t put out yet.
I had several of them that the paint only lasted a month, but I mean you get what you pay for and I also bought them when they first came out so maybe got a bad batch paint wise.
You have to think ducks are all different sizes. Personally I find it weird throwing all the same brand of decoys that look exactly alike with the shape and size.

Last pass mallards definitely fit my style of dragging decoys in a sled to shallow marshes. Just might buy some. Great studio back drop by the way.

Order 4 dozen and you also have 2 dozen early season teal decoys. For 60/dozen, how can you go wrong?
