It’s what I love about Sam’s approach to horror with Alan Wake. It’s not cheap thrills. It’s about falling in love with characters and how the mysteries make you feel even after the fact and the questions that linger long after.
The Bright Falls mini series that was released before the original Alan Wake is severely underrated and overlooked. It was a really great show that reminded me of Twin Peaks.
1:03 that is so satisfying and heartwarming, even for me. I can only imagine how Sam felt hearing all those cheers. Alan Wake didn’t have the most successful time when it first came out, but it was my first dip into narrative horror in games and it’s stuck with me ever since. It’s such a good and memorable experience and it’s so wonderful to see that, over time, it has been gaining the recognition it deserved. This sequel will be special.
Oh, wow. I clicked on the video to watch Sam Lake talk about Alan Wake 2, and I had no idea it was Mike Flanagan sitting next to him. That's very cool.
I’m more surprised about how much Mike Flanagan knows about Alan Wake and Control
@@EthanRom Yeah, kind of, but I've read that he's played The Last of Us, and I believe Part II and some of Midnight Mass took inspiration from those games.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if Mike could somehow make an Alan Wake show work!!?!
Thanks for recording this! It's great for those of us who were unable to attend.
Extremely thrilled to hear that they are incorporating live action again. That's one of my fave Remedy tropes.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for recording and sharing!
I've always said that since the ending of the original Alan Wake that he's probably been writing nonstop up until now. Sam saying what he said just makes me lean harder into the theory that Quantum Break was entirely Alan's attempt to scientifically create time travel as a means of preventing himself from ever entering The Dark Place to begin with, but the story took on a life of its own and got away from him before he could craft an ending that worked out in his favor. And due to the nature of the game allowing you to make your own decisions that affect the plot, it stands to reason that the entire QB universe splintered off into its own bubble universe (which also explains why Alan Wake's books can exist in that universe alongside the actual video game as well, it becomes a paradox and cannot be canon by law).
Sam just isnt aging.. i think he's pausing time with quantum breaks😎
Thanks so much for sharing this! Did they chat more after the live action segment?
Thank you for recording. Alan Wake rocks.
Let me just say... thank you for uploading this. Not seeing/hearing anything about it online while only a handfull of people exğerienced it really stank.
When Asked about Alex Cassey he did the Max Payne face...it"s awesome!
Thanks mate!!
Can you two just make an Alan Wake series together!
Is there a part two of this video? Or that's all?
They begin their promotionnal marketing for the game with Saga first because she's a new protagonist & more & more we approach the release date the marketing will be more oriented with Alan Wake's side to maintain the hype because his side of the story is what the fans of the orignal want to see & experience the most after 13 years.
That, and i think they don't want to show much of alan's story so it'll be more fun for us to experiance.
Noone wants spoilers :p
Mike Flanagan being a fanboy over your work would feel incredible.
I’m a big fan of AW and I waited the continue of the story so many years. I’ll glad to play in the game in the next month. Gameplay for Saga remembered me one old game - Deadly Premonition))The two games get something similar)
I need this game now. Waiting 13 years is long enough 😬
Was this the whole thing? Is there more to the conversation?
18:37 this is max payne!!!
Wickeeeeeeeeeeeeed
What did he show you at the end of the recording?
Thank you!
Alright! Thanks for sharing!
