From Nigeria I must say South Africans are very beautiful and astonishing people. I don't know whether this is Isizulu or Xhosa, but it's such a beautiful language.
I'm South African reading comments from other African countries 😭 I always tell my kids music has no borders . . I LOVE U guys ❤ don't let society & social media separate us we are one.
In Uganda, I mean the border between Uganda and Kenya! As a kid, I would witness my mom often being beaten up by her drunkard husband, who was my step dad, whenever such beating took place I would also fall victim since I was illigitimate! My mom would sob along this song! It used air out on KBC radio Kenya, it was painful but comforting and touching!! The 90s, Oh Africa!!
this sound reminds me of the difficult moments, the moments of pain of my childhood, but above all the relief that it gave me; hope for a better tomorrow. Today this song helps me not to forget where I come from and above all that hope is allowed. You who will read me in the year 3000, know that this song was a hymn of hope for all of Africa in the early 2000s and in 2023 it still gives me goosebumps. RIP Brenda and thanks for all

I vividly remember seeing Brenda Fassie(Vulindela) on our tiny black and white TV(😂Greatwall TV for those who remember) back in 2002 in my parents small single room. She was a hit in Kenya at the time. Ps.she still is a star.
True story. This song reminds me of the time I was doing a math exam, I was having anxiety then I heard this song play, some teacher had parked his car next to the exam hall and left the radio on. I remember instantly relaxing, I got a 94% in that exam
I remember we used this song on our Passing Out Parade at The Kenya Military Academy 👌👌🇰🇪🇰🇪 My Dad too loved to listen to it,may Dad's Soul Rest In Eternal Peace,we miss you Papa 🙏🙏

The moment I heard this song I could feel the power of the song and as a islander I had to find it and the meaning of it. I truly appreciate and love my black beautiful African brothers and sisters. Mbula from the Fiji islands.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I know you mean well, but referring to Africans as black is a huge insult. I’m Arab and African but in terms of Africa, We have our own ethnic groups, our own tribes and individual cultures to be all grouped as black. We never identified as black before colonialism and most of us don’t identify as that now because it links us all together just by skin colour and ignores our differences. We have maintained our individual unique cultures since the beginning of time just for it to be stripped away and told to be a meaningless colour. It’s better just to call us African and not black. Black is for people of former slave descent.
This song a hit also in the Pacific... much love and respect RIL Momma Brenda ...your music touched so many hearts. We don't know the meaning of the song but the music brought joy to us.. Bula from 🇫🇯 🇫🇯 🇫🇯
Beautiful evergreen! Over a long period here in Nigeria, this number ruled the air waves - radio, tv, walkman, etc., and even till date, as ringtones for phones and party grooves - meaning music is truly a universal language. Humans are just "divided" but they are inhenrently from one source. Rest well Brenda till ressurection morning. Bless you generation Respect❣💞

Davido just refreshed my memory. From Nigeria but I respect Brenda a lot and South Africans we are all one
One of, if not the best African woman to compose such a masterpiece! Long live to her sounds. May she continue to RIP !!
Beautiful music ❤️
Yes
The Nigerin drug dearlers led to her death
From Nigeria I must say South Africans are very beautiful and astonishing people. I don't know whether this is Isizulu or Xhosa, but it's such a beautiful language.
Xhosa
Growing up in Nigeria 🇳🇬 my mum used to play this and it became my best music then. RIP Brenda
Oh this is touching 😓
Eishh 😣😣
😭😥
So painful
❤❤❤❤❤📿📐
this sound reminds me of the difficult moments, the moments of pain of my childhood, but above all the relief that it gave me; hope for a better tomorrow. Today this song helps me not to forget where I come from and above all that hope is allowed.
You who will read me in the year 3000, know that this song was a hymn of hope for all of Africa in the early 2000s and in 2023 it still gives me goosebumps.
RIP Brenda and thanks for all

came here because of davido new song titled Funds !!! This song brings memories!!! Life is beautiful!!!
Mis padres y familiares en Cartagena, Colombia escuchaban estas canciones tan buenas… orgulloso de que mis bisabuelos eran de África. África por mis venas, te amo!
@@SoPerfectYasmin He speaking about his black brothers and that a problem for you?
It's 2024 and the song is still a vibe... thank you Brenda fir bringing Africa together 🇿🇲🇿🇦
i still get the goosebumps everytime i listen to it

More respect rip lady this song steal my joy already I av to listen More than one time to meaning of The song so great 😍🔥💯
