"If they're on my route they're my kids" hes so sweet!!
"He came with the house." I feel kinda sorry for whoever takes over his route. He'll be a tough act to follow.
That's for sure.
He'll just have to watch this and do the same haha. Being kind is simple, and people that dont understand that, have imo a big mental issue.
Mr. Fair ...behave
Awesome story
But.....isnt it illegal to put stuff in peoples mailboxes??? Why not knock on door or call
My mom is a Postal Worker. Around every holiday season she gets flooded with gifts from candy to even homemade mugs and decorations. 2020 has seemingly made people much more appreciative of essential workers as a whole and it makes me so happy
"He came with the house." Love it!
It's visible in his eyes- kindness. ❤
Congratulations Mr Floyd...It really shows how grateful, appreciative & loved you are!!! God bless on your retirement.
I smiled this entire video...
Except when I was fighting the tears.
He did do it right. He added to the love in the world. He planted seeds of love and harvested love.
I wish this Floyd story could get as much air time as the other. We need stories that build bridges and shine the light on human kindness and goodwill, not division.....
I feel the same way
did you share this video? lol
@@erichenry386 absolutely :-)
@dyy Fethiiyhn low IQ
exactly i really want to like this comment but i wont because its at 111 and thats a prime universal number!!!!!
Yeah this what America should be no other race than Human race sharing love
The messed up left does not understand what we see in the video!
It's easy to appreciate someone in the service industry, but is that same feeling holding up if he were to move in next door.
@@superfast30 the messed up lefty, right here, recognizes love and respect just fine. Perhaps you need a lesson.
@@superfast30 It's about human decency, and that's neither "left" or "right." And slapping political labels on people divides us further.
@@superfast30 Keep your politics out of this. I could point out to you THOUSANDS of cases where it's the RIGHT who is getting in the way of decent humans just trying to get along, and that's just in the last 3 1/2years. It's been going on since Nixon from your side. Reagan kicked the American hatred up by a dozen notches with his "welfare queen" and "lazy and drunk workers" nonsense, and the right has been full steam on hating and dividing Americans from each other ever since. Your head is up your ass. Pull it out.
Imagine following his footsteps and taking that route.
That is what America is really about...good ole fashion love❤🙏❤
This is the America we need to get back to, this is the way I feel towards people.
I can remember in NY we had the same person deliver our mail! The good old days, when you actually had a relationship with everyday workers and got to know them !
I grew up in Plattsburgh, NY, and we had one mailman, he was awesome and friendly. He retired after 34 years, that man would deliver in the rain and snow and during the hot summer days we’d have a glass pitcher with ice cubes and lemonade waiting for him, sweat running down the sides. He'd sit on the front porch with us to take a breather and just chat.😁👍
WiL Clark great memories
And when you'd leave them a little thank you at the holidays with a giftcard or a 10.00 bill for a cup of coffee.
@@bluegoddess1386 Been there, done that..., and all the men and women who deliver our mail, they deserve a medal every day, especially now. My mailman hid a package from my dad so no one could see it. It was a keepsake box and I've been collecting them for over 30 years..., my boxes hold trinkets and memories. My dad is 80 years old, I haven't seen him in 8 years and he was supposed to come see me but I told him to stay home, I didn't want him flying in a confined metal tube during a pandemic. If some porch pirate had stolen it I would've been devestated. My box is the best out of all that I have..., I love my dad and my mailman.
@no ididnt I've seen that video, it's cute, that boy sneaking a doggie hug every day. 🤗🤗😁
" He came with the house....."
He is a very good person. You reap what you sow, indeed. ❣️
Floyd is a wonderful man who loves all people. He is an asset to everyone who knows him. God bless.
This is what you call a neighborhood filled with humanity and empathy.
Karen don’t live there.
I love when people make it known that our mail men and delivery driversand even our garbage pickup workers are just extended parts of our family! U see these people all the time doing something that u never think twice about but for years they’re around and I love to see when people take the intitiatve to let them know they’re appreciated
The new mailman on this routes has big shoes to fill! ❤️
There’s a different mail person on my street about every other week so I could never have this happen
I have two, one is a cute black woman. I wonder if she single. She been dropping off mail for 2 years, we always smile and say hi while on my jog through the neighborhood. Hehe
@Anonymous Guy Makes sense. My street is secluded and has a weird maze-like shape with two sections, so I could see them not wanting to come back.
O know right, I was just saying that to my wife that they switch our postee like flies.
😂😂🤣🤣 You ain’t never lied. Our mail come at 5:30 pm sometime.
What an AWESOME MAN!!
WHAT A GREAT OFFICE ”RETIREMENT PARTY” ’SEND-OFF’’!!!!!!
I love when he says, "I did it right". What a lovely gentleman ❤️
One of the best! He sure had an impact on everyone on his route and they saw it, felt it, and appreciated it! They sure let him know! Wonderful!
I wish every postal carrier took pride in thier job like he did and go the extra mile for people!!!!
Trust me. We do. I do. 26 year Carrier Carrier. I am so in love with my customers and they are of me. I am what my customers call....their Hero. I have to take care of them. We are family!❤
Great story! It goes to show how just being nice to others can have such a tremendous impact on their lives. Congrats Floyd, enjoy your much deserved retirement
This is one of the best stories ever! The wonderful things people can do when they unite for a noble cause. Felicidades en su retiro señor Floyd!! Dios le bendiga!
Why the hell am I crying?💜
Put the knife down and step away from the onions
Love your neighbor. Lovely story.
He did it RIGHT... brought in tears...god bless to humanity
I am well Happy for you and the community which I believe represents the true America.
He is a true celebrity no wonder he is so loved by the people in his neighbourhood.
Beautiful! What one persons kindness can do that can affect so many. Lovely story, he's blessed.
Love has no color!! Beautiful story.
I love this channel!!! It is so sweet. This gives me hope. God bless you for creating this channel. God bless the people in these videos.
I used to be a letter carrier on my own route.
I was on time, through snow , ice, rain and all kinds of shitty weather .
My customers loved me as much as I loved them.
It is something ii won't forget
My customers were awesome!
I wish more were like this gentle soul. He is just AMAZING, my old post worker just retired and it hasnt been the same without her. The new ones just dont care and would rather hurry up on their way (mind you, i live in a SMALL town where everyone knows everyone for generations). Truly sad. GOD BLESS YOU FLOYD, true beautiful soul🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖
Simply fantastic! With all the other attention placed on the other Floyd, this is a shining light for this Floyd! Happy retirement!🍾🎂🤗
I want to move to this neighbourhood
Seems like they'd call the cops if they smelled weed from my house.
a typical all white upper middle class neighbourhood.
Yea. Not every neighborhood has so many loving and caring ppl. One thing i know though. Love is more infectious than any virus.
This was like right before corona. It’s really weird to see a block party like that. I’m happy Floyd got to retire before any of this crap started! Hopefully he took his well deserved vacation before corona and is doing well waiting for it to end like the rest of us😂
Not weird at all. This is how us appreciated mail carriers are treated. When you take care of your customers. They will go above and beyond for you.
@@msbelindab5231 - The weird part isn't a block party in appreciation of a mail carrier. The weird part is seeing people congregate for a block party at all. I was inwardly cringing at all the hugs and close proximity, thinking about virus spread, because that is how my brain is programmed to think now after a year of quarantine, lol
@@ChristophProbst I do understand. I was on a route for 11 years. It was majority walking. My customers were big time huggers.. I had to bid to a riding route because my knees had gotten so bad. I left that route December 2020 and my last day there were signs and decorated mailboxes and gifts galore. It was very humbling and I was so touched. And this of course was doing Covid. But they still went out of there way to show me their appreciation. 🥰❤
39 seconds into this video and I'm already crying and I can feel the love already.. these are heroes everyday and we need to talk about them when we need to praise them for everything that they do again I think this community from just loving this gentleman and just showing him the compassion and kindness and love that we all deserve and this is short of nothing but a miracle and what God can do with his children. I love this 😍
to be able to say for 30 years you did your job and did it right is a pretty good way to retire
That is great that he is loved and appreciated.
I swear this is so beautiful and brought a tear to my eyes. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
That is one of the sweetest stories. And Floyd is such a sweetheart.
He’s a wonderful man that came with the house 😂 he has seen a lot of these babies raised and flown the coop and return with their children what an inspiration he is 🥰🥰
Teardrops this is awesome 👏 congratulations 🎈🎊🎉 go viral this is everything to mankind. Job well done 👍 with Community Honors love ❤️ it 😃😃😃😃
What a beautiful story. He seems like a wonderful gentleman with a big heart & his kindness overflowed onto the community. Its so lovely that they were able to come together and celebrate his retirement and show their gratitude. I hope he enjoyed his well deserved vacation & is doing well.
I wish people saw these stories more. They happen everyday in ways big & small.
Thanks for making me cry! ❤️
Anyone else's heart swell up when the teens where hugging him? Cuz mine did.
They probably were babies when he started.
What a lovely man, and what a lovely neighborhood. I love to see the everyday heroes get recognized. It's so meaningful.
B4 all the bullcrap, but still people we need too follow these positive stories. Lead by example and do good things every day
That picture of him and the young lady when she was a little kid was really cool :)
35 years on the same route. Watched kids grow up and and new babies come home. I'd love to sit with wonderful man and just listen to his stories abiut thus beautiful family that encompasses 500 homes.
It goes to show you sometimes, when you're doing your job you think it's just a job. And you don't think anybody cares or watching. Like he said do your best. What a beautiful soul. God bless that whole neighborhood
This is how I want MY America to look like.
I really needed to see something like THIS VIDEO to see the goodness in people's hearts..This man was very special to ALL these people..
And you can see it in all their eyes and faces...😍
Congratulations, and may you have the most amazing retirement anyone could have..😀
This is sooooo COOL,as a retired UPS man,i remember these days, one Christmas season my last stop was at 2:45 in the morning but the kids on my route was going to get their gifts from Grandma, who was from out-of-state. 28 years at UPS,now 73 years old.
Back in Mexico we had the good, ol’ mailman and because it was usually always the same person you actually developed a relationship with them.
God blessed this man and he shares it.. we can all learn something from this amazing person.
He gave his best and they recognize he did. What a great story.
"these are my people, they love me and I love them"
Well done floyed.
My Auntie retired from USPS as a mail carrier.. she has always been a great person, so giving with such a great work ethic... Congratulations to Greg!
Good begets good, you made a difference in their live and it shows! Enjoy your retirement!
That is so truly heart warming ♥

Ahhhhhh God bless him
What a wonderful man. A true gentleman.
Very articulate.
Yes Sir, you sure did do it right.🏆 And so humble.
He IS LEGEND.
We need more of this, it reminds me of my sister and husband mailwomen she was well know from all the people on her route she also had businesses on her route everyone knew she was so well like. Especially today the news should show more good news humans kindness, compassion ect. I guess in the mind of the news industry only see negative news only sells.
I love this. Happy retirement Mr. Floyd.
What a kind gentle man.

He thought he was just delivering mail, God had him there for much more looks like spreading love all over that community!!!!!
Humankind I am not sure how you ended up in my rotation, but I'm glad you did. It is GREAT FANTASTIC and AMAZINGLY AWESOME to see people just simply LOVING and APPRECIATING each other. There's a song that says Open the eyes of MY HEART and this neighborhood exemplifies that. I'm just touched.
Damn! He touched a lot of hearts.
A real HERO .
Wow very special Guy! keep up the good work, this Guy pick-up the right job for Him.
