The Major WF Pod Crew invaded Toy Fair in FULL force this year as Matt and Brian were joined by producer "Smart" Mark Sterling and friend of the show VSK. The guys ran all around covering all the new things in the world of wrestling toys and collectibles including new Mattel figures and plans, NJPW figs and more!

One thing related to your theory: at 13:35 he mentions that he will be working with 'influencers and superstars [to advertise these]' and either Matt or Brian says 'like us'. And the guy sorta pauses and says 'Kinda'. I think he sorta says it as if 'yeah, two guys who post videos of wrestling figures is kinda the same idea yeah'

He doesn't know anything about wrestling or toys, other then the lines he had to learn. Next week he could be talking about lines he memorized for Brother Printers.

@Zamza You don't have to be backstage to know that the WWE doesn't want their talent promoting other companies, especially AEW. That's just common sense. Hawkins trained MJF. I guarantee he would have shown his figure if he could have.
Shame you guys couldn't give us your thoughts on the AEW figs. You guys are one of the biggest wrestling figure channels yet have gag orders to discuss some of the most exciting wrestling figure news in years.

OK, I've been in retail for over 8+ years, currently work at Citi Field with the Mets in the retail shops, and have done door to door sales as well as canvassing in the middle of Manhattan.....Holy crap does the Mattel spokesperson know NOTHING about Wrestling (let alone any of the Wrestlers he's trying to sell) and just uses the horrible industry terms like "core line-up", "We're excited about blah blah blah", "the kids will get excited for reason X" and other garbage force fed lines he has to read off a script. I wanna strangle him to force some personality out of him.

loved NBA Jam as a kid. on Sega Genesis and in the arcade. used to frustrate me how Jordan wasn't in the game, but then I became an adult and understood why. 1 - he wasn't an active NBA player (baseball). 2 - licensing. Jordan wouldn't sign off on any video games at the time. In fact, he hadn't been in an video game in 2-3 years prior to Jam. And even in years after, you would have to go and create Jordan to have him. On NBA Live and such. Jordan didn't start to show up in video games until the late 90s, early 2000s. I couldn't have imagined Jordan on NBA Jam anyway. to do what, dominate like Mike Tyson on Punchout?! lol

I’m so excited for all of these figures, but sad to know that I’ll likely only people to collect the WWE and maybe AEW stuff, don’t order online much outside of Amazon so the boss fight and super 7 stuff is going to be lost to me.....doesn’t help being Canadian so everything costs more

The guy presenting the Mattel booth is the actor. Conventions do that, get an actor to present your stuff because they can remember sales scripts and be a pitch man
I feel for that Mattel guy I used to work a booth on cons all around the country and I went thru my sales pitchs for a good 5 minutes before I realized it was Jake the Snake then I marked out.

They skipped the AEW and NJPW figures out of fear of being punished by Vince McDickhead. Such a shame that V ince, Dunn and the other WWE stooges have resorted back to the old days where they pretended that other companies don't exist. Vince is the most immature person on the planet. He is afraid of competition, he is afraid of his fans knowing that other companies exist, he thinks toilet humor is funny despite the fact that he's way over the age of 12 years. He's just afraid of everything so he retaliates and rebels against his own fears by disallowing his employees (who he calls "independent contractors") to acknowledge other companies/other workers even on their own, private time/social media outlets. He's really pathetic. We all know that Matt and Brian would love to look at, and discuss AEW, NJPW and all other wrestling outlets. It's shocking that they mentioned Taya Valkyrie, Penta and Fenix, but as out of touch as Vince is, he likely has no clue who they even are!
Dude that Pitch From Mattels guy was insane. It sounded more like pitching to stockholders on new product lines or to vendors even. Serious collectors... PRO WRESTLERS/SERIOUS COLLECTORS know all of the features and product line differences probably better than HE does! Seemed like the New Info, unknown to the boys info, involved specific NEW products like the Slambulance. Efficient, absolutely. New Relevant information? 13% of what he said
