Sir if you climb 3ooo steps above the nongriat bridge you will reach the Khyndai phyllaw caves and the magical stream which cure any sicknesses. In our village Mawkawir, and mawsahew.
Wow! Meghalaya is beautiful and especially this vlog. The wooden cabin with the 2 adorable kids. Thank you for taking us through such a soulful place. And your companions are lovely. 🥰 Looking forward to the rest of the Meghalaya series.
Finally a video starts wherein you are not walking from the start....!! 😄.. Loved this video too.. !!... U captured the innocence well of the people and the place..!! Bravo..!! 👍
12:52 The moment when the grandmother said "huu lah tymmen " this make me think and smile because the old women was upset on being old but not with the portrait it's not that she didn't like it , instead she said "huuu I'm getting old " 🙁✨
I like yr vids I am frm shillong have yu notice how much they work hard how they carry their heavy thing in such a long way I must says these people are very brave thank to you
Yet another charming video with greeneries and cute smily people around. I really like to visit some nice day. I have seen the Root bridge in one of a Tibetan blogger and it carries away my thinking about excitement to feel it one day. Well, waiting for the next episode and good luck always.🙏 And Yes, our whole family watched it in TV for more enjoyment.👌
Nice vlog. First tableau on republic day parade today was from Meghalaya. Had never heard of root bridges before and guess the blue color of water was from reaction from minerals in rocks or some kind of algae, such nice scenery really👌🏻😊
Life is the village is so much different world altogether, simple yet beautiful 🥰, this is such a lovely vlog of Nongriat. Proud of being from Meghalaya. Cheers bud
Im a tribal person but i havent been there my self yet but still i proclaimed our state to be the scotland of the east bcoz i know it definetely is ....love ur vlog do visit our state every 2 years as u did🤣🤣
Bay leaf or tezpata!! Main product from those region and its reach to all part of India dinner table😄😄😄😄 soh kwid is also another kind of citrus which can be use to eat fresh or as a culinary for cooking or as a medicine for relief etc😄 See nature provides us bountiful
@DC Traveler exotic? 😲 Somehow it feels funny because we think our culture is just too different for people to enjoy it. If I ever said this to my small cousins, they will be shocked. thank you(^^)
Yet again, another super cool video. Loved it. Plus, you have learned quite a few Khasi words, that's really nice. - The "sword" is called a "Dah". I'm not sure of what's it called in Khasi. - The fruit you had is most probably "Sohphlang". It's a unique fruit of the state of Meghalaya. - The broom plant that you saw, the flower grows into long stick and later it's harvest to make the "Phool" jhadu. - Bay leave is "Tej Patta" use for cooking in most of the cuisines in India. You missed the "shrill" sounding made by the insects while you were approaching the suspension bridge. When there are many of them together, it sound as if multiple bells are ringing. Come on, Darshan you are doing a great job and have one of the most beautiful way of vlogging. However, one suggestion, you might check some local music/any soothing music as your background score. The music that you use, at times feels a little repeatitive. What happens is most of the time the music starts, it starts from the beginning again. you might as well take a longer piece and let it continue or use different peices of music.
Thank you for another great comment. I appreciate your suggestion on the music. Repetitiveness is intentional-it creates strong association of the tracks to this series! I wish the tracks were longer though 🙂
@@kyakaruvlogs2784 Oh, thank you for the correcttion. Some of my relatives use to call it as Sohphlang. That's the problem with we assamese people. specially who stayed in Shillong for a few years. Me including, we never made any effort to learn Khasi. Now, I'm really jealous of Darshan. I also had a few Khasi and Jaintia classmates, but compulsory English in the school spoilt it all. This time, I'm home and visit Shillong, I'll definitely make an effort.
@@DCTravelerExperience Yes, you are right the track is definitely associative with you now. Anyone who has watched your vlogs would recognises it right away. Yep, definitely a longer score would have helped.

How is khasi culture like to a non-khasi? I'm very curious as a khasi.
It’s different and very interesting!
@DC Traveler interesting? Really? Our culture?:-O
Yes, why are you surprised? Usually anything exotic seems interesting. I like the food and lifestyle especially in villages
