- This small cutter slits 135 film in various formats, depending on the cutting module in use. There are 3 possible sizes:
- 9,2mm strip, for sub-miniature Minox 8x22 spy cameras
- 16mm with sprocket holes: gives 2 strips (less waste, but perforated frames)
- 16mm clean film without perforations (more film wasted because the sides are unusable)
The cutting happen in daylight because the box is light-sealed. I suggest using a practical reloadable canister as take-up, so it's easier to remove the film and load it in the small cassettes in the dark changing bag.

It's a great tool. Especially regarding the possibility to use it in daylight.
But I have some advice for you after having scratched some of my Minox 8 x 11 films during slitting:
Check the lid and the knife holder for some really rough surfaces. Especially parallel to the felt inlays and the junctions of the cutter parts plus around the gap in the middle with the metal plate inside. I've erased some really hot spots with a sharp knife after some disappointment with hefty accumulations of scratches on both sides of the film material.
One of the advantages of leaving sprocket holes is being able to reload Universal Micro 16 cartridges, which only feed if there are sprocket holes present.

I bought your Minox film slitter about two months ago and it works really well. I used it today, to cut some Easman 5231 (Plus-X) for one of my Minox cameras.
I strongly recommend anyone who uses subminiature cameras to buy this product.

I now have one of your excellent 16mm film cutters.
I actually wouldn’t recommend buying the single 16 mm cutter because there is lots of waste film I would actually get the 16mm and minox cutter because it uses that waste to make a minox size slice of film!

This looks amazing. Once the film is cut into the take up spool, is it light proof? Would be really handy to be able to spool it back from there into a 110 cart by taping the 110 take up spool in the light, then rolling the other end
Can you do a video on cutting 35mm and 120 films for 110 cameras? I want to buy one of your cutters but I wanted to see how it goes first. Thank you very much!
