Hi Jen great flosstube, I really enjoy your knitting. I used to knit years ago and knit many things but I’ve never tried socks. I love your socks. Yes it’s hard to schedule around a two year old, especially when they’ve given up naps, but the rest of need those naps. Lol😊 Happy stitching.
The stiches and colours look so good in HD quality, thank you for giving us this option! I adore the hedgehog design, it's so so cute 😍The fabric on your unicorn design looks a lot like Dawn by Picture This Plus I'm stitching Nora's Winter Hare on, at least on my screen🤔
Hello Jen. I remember that 2 year old stage very well, so glad you had time to film a flosstube. I'm knitting the Musselburgh beanie for my partner. So knew that was what you were wearing. :) Such a cute finish of the Hedgehogs!
I loved all your shares. I watched while I stitched on my project, “A New Beginning” x stitch. I almost gave myself whiplash when I heard you say “Oona Owl”. Lol I’m crazy for owls and that is a cute one. Your knitted shawls are gorgeous. Beautiful colors that go very well together. Oh, definitely take total advantage of those nap times when they come. Happy stitching 🧵 ❤
I give you a lot of credit for doing that parking method. I watch 14 count aida girl and she had a video on it and it looked very interesting but I think that would drive me nuts with all those threads hanging there. I wanted to get that chart of 324 but 123 stitch is still sold out of it so I have to wait. Yours look beautiful. That is going to be a very fun stitch for sure. very beautiful shawls. I had a feeling that your hat was a Musselburg hat. I have always wanted to knit one but I can not use DPN's or thin yarn. I love owls so I can not wait to see you stitch that one. Happy Stitching.
Thanks Linda! Once you get through the increases on Musselburgh, it fits well on a 16” circular and my mom has knit a few with heavier weight yarn. Maybe you could make it work? Do you use magic loop for small circumferences?
No I have not tried magic loop. I will have to look that up on how to do it. I can work with Baby Yarn which is a 3 weight. Thanks for letting me know about the magic loop method.@@jensfiberweb
love the hat 😍😍 i’m always running around with a beanie, so i love all the hats 😬 you’ve made great progress on your projects and they are just so beautiful. 😍 we have similar taste so i love seeing everything you show 😊
Great video. I love your projects, I’m so sorry that your youngest is avoiding naps, that is the hardest stage. I hated when everyone said twos were terrible, for me it was 3 and 4…mine are 19 and 22. All I can say is you are doing so much please take it easy and give yourself some grace. You are a wonderful person and so talented. Sometimes projects just don’t fit. Though I will say when I backed out on the qualifier round I felt so sad…and then the next day I felt relieved that I had given it up and I knew I made the right decision. Thank you for sharing your life and crafting with us.
@@CaseyL19 I went for some soft mauve-gray-pink colors with a sort of medium plum shade for the pop. They’re all speckled hand dyed single skeins I had in stash. 😊
Hi Jen. Love your hat, love your shawls. I don’t knit MKAL any longer because I’ve been too unhappy with a few of them after a lot of time invested in them. I’d rather wait and knit them later. I’m glad you were happy with yours. Your stitches are looking great. I especially love the Japanese one and the Hawk Run Hollow but the Hedgehog one is adorable also. I almost bought the Unicorn chart but ended up getting one with sea creatures instead - Beach Comber by Lindy Stitches. Have fun with your stitches
Hi, and thank you for the kind words! MKALs can really go sideways in a hurry, I totally understand not wanting to knit them until you can see the final product and make better yarn choices (if it’s even something you want to make!) I think Helen’s patterns are pretty solid and consistent so I was happy to join this one. And I think the Beach Comber chart is very cute! Good choice!
Hi Jen, I just want to say how much I love your videos. Your projects are so beautiful. I'm going to get on the hunt for the Hedgehog piece as soon as I've finished watching. (btw I may have accidentally hit the thumbs down when going for the thumbs up so please ignore that if I did. :-))
Your shawls are so beautiful! I love your knitting. Perhaps you don’t want to continue with the sock challenge because you have enough on your plate right now. And it should be fun. I want to knit socks and all the things but I’m not very good at knitting.
Awesome wips and as always love ur haul! I have bony bunch too in my stash as well as the raccoon one and the rack stack...I'll get to em all eventually! I got 324 also and I had planned on starting it on that date and pulling it out on the 24th of every month, but it didn't quite work that way! Lol... I was going to just do it on a piece of 18ct I thought I had in stash but I didn't...so since I would have needed to order new fabric anyway I just decided to go w the 36ct the model used 1 over 1, and since that can't travel alone I also ordered several more patterns I didn't need😂😂oops! But I should be getting 123 happymail any day now and I hope to start it asap and then resume my orig plan even tho I wasn't able to start it on the actual 24th...or maybe I'll do 1 a day with u and just do the ones I missed to catch up! Congrats on ur 🦔 finish too...they r TOO cute! 🪡❤️
Definitely can’t have anything traveling alone! 😂 The 324 motifs are super quick so I’m sure you can easily catch up. I see a lot of people working ahead but I’m perfectly content to do one a day for now. It’s nice to start my day with a small win!
@@jensfiberweb I agree!!! It should be arriving today so I'm hoping to start tmoro morning! Sounds corny but I'm excited to stitch something along w u 😉❤️ I'm already plotting several other new starts and possible orders tho 😬
Thank you so much for the shoutout Jen! I also love that we have similar taste in patterns and projects we are working on! Loved your progress on the unicorn piece... that was incredibly fast!! How did you get the pdf from dimensions? I'd love to know that little secret haha. Great video!
You are welcome! You can send an email to contactus@simplicity.com with the name of the kit, the kit number, and a photo of your kit with the contents visible and request the PDF. I learned about it from Colette the Highway Stitcher and she did say they didn't take too kindly to her asking for ALL her kit pdfs at once, but they will give you one or two at a time. I tried it and they emailed me back in less than 15 minutes with the PDF for Japanese Garden.

Thank you! I was so surprised my little guy took a good long nap today! Maybe it was the rainy weather.

I love my musselburgh so much, but it was a lot of knitting for a hat, it felt like it was going to take forever around the middle of the project!
Awesome video. Love your wips. Your knitting is beautiful too. Love the colours you chose for your shawl!
Thank you!

You are too kind, thanks for hanging out with me!
I checked out the 24 bird MKAL and bought it lol. I am going through stash to kit up and will start it tomorrow. What colors are you using?

Thank you so much! In past years I have dropped everyone to do the sock knitting competition but it just wasn’t meant to be this year.
