And that's all it takes to make an absolutely scary blaster. The firerate is insane (and not even optimized) and the range is impressive. The D-Dart has a lot of potential for a blaster that you just don't care who you hit and just want to spray darts like no tomorrow. With it's fast fire rate, high capacity of 28 darts, and great range with Cyclones/Krakens; this is something you might not want to sleep on. Plus you could mount it anywhere thanks to it being a completely electric firing mechanism!

What if you integrated it into a Turbo Advance? Wire the trigger to the Turbo Advance trigger with a microswitch. You could replace the turbo advance drum entirely with the D-Dart drum. Any thoughts?
i want to see someone remove most of the handle and attach this around a barrel attachment as an optional secondary attached to your primary blaster.
Rig it up-to a selector switch on the main blaster where the ring rotates around the main barrel. I like that idea
I immediately thought this would make for the greatest forgrip to a primary ever. Literally just needs connector on the top. Reloading a magazine would no longer mean you have to stop shooting.

I have a good idea for keeping the darts at the bottom of the holders, but im not quite sure how to explain it through text
but see if you can make or get a 7 shaped springy bit of plastic, attach the top to the right of the motors, so when the darts are rotated into the barrel(?) they get pushed into the ramp and slid back to the back of the holder, ready to be fired

If the barrels will fit inside the gaps around the grip, you should try sticking it on the front of the deleter

Ok, So I'm clearly late to this party, but I just saw it and I think it's AWESOME! I've seen some people suggesting undermounting this and using it as a masterkey, but I think I have a sillier idea. Instead of mounting the whole thing on the bottom, flip the handle so that it's outside the ring and then have the ring go around the primary barrel of the blaster you're mounting it to. The handle becomes a foregrip and you have a wicked cool "masterkey". Impractical, yes, but cool.
the way it revs down after it empties its clip reminds me so much of fps chainguns (Quake 2's specifically)

put a circle of brass at the start of the barrel. a tiny bit should hold the things better. 17/32 should work

I have an outlandish idea, turn it into a gauntlet or worn onto your arm and stay in place, make the handle swivel out of the way and a system for you to flip it into place and turns on automatically to be used really quick when you need it. This way you can use it as an emergency side arm that just requires a quick flip. Kind of acts as a extra life I guess, there's no way you can miss with that rate of fire.

For a button switch to turn on the motors have you considered a grip style safety button got a thing from what little I could see in the video there look like almost no screw ports in the back of the grip but then again is just a thought

You could print a shell that fits over the blaster and your arm to kinda look like Megaman's blaster arm.
It wouldn't be very practical but would be cool
just need a tapered ramp to push back any darts that might have fallen forward before they get to the top. just a quarter of the ring or less would be plenty.

Seems a good candidate for Mosfets. Then you could use a tiny button switch at the thumb to rev.

I would want to upgrade the motors/ battery and maybe the cage and wheels of this thing to make it shoot harder and spin up faster, but i wouldnt want the crazy fast RoF. Front loading makes it a great scavenger. But itd be a pain to have to fully reload it every few seconds. Id rather be able to maintain fire for a little bit, and be able to squeeze off single shots when i want to. Upping the RoF like this makes it into such a one-off

Wouldn't bursting be more feasible if you added motor breaking to the pusher motor (essentially using a 2 switch rapidstrike setup)?
I doubt I would ever getting around to doing my gundam heavy arms set up I wanted to do, but if I ever were to I think these are compact enough to make good chest guns.

Hi Walcom S7 - What voltage Lipo battery do you recommend if you want lower RPM's using the Kraken motors? ( Still fast but not as fast as your setup, which is crazy fast )
I might need to use 7.4v motors with 7.4v Lipo?
Probably just undervolt it with a 2s then.
What about putting a rev switch on the side or back of the handle? That way it'll rev when you sneeze naturally.
Main issue is just how little room there is.

This needs to be a foregrip for another blaster, preferably another flywheeler so the tempest can plug into the larger blaster's larger battery. The primary is for regular firing, the modded tempest can be a dart hose when you need one.
The angle of your arm would be awkward.

Personally I would mount it as an underbarrel remove the trigger and just hand crank the cylinder

3d print a dart guide so as the drum spins the guide pushes the darts all the way into drum right before it hits the plastic spring.
To make the hammer to hit faster put an extension spring on it for some extra pull.
And for the even funnier option. Belt feed it.
I think it's possible to belt-feed it if you remove all the dart holders (but keep the red rotational mech as a whole) and then have belts with the first couple of links having magnets to hold the chain on there until a certain point in the rotation.

For a wrist mounted mod I would suggest just removing the gear box and make it a manual spin.
Could you turn it into an underbarrel mounted thing (I do not know what utility is to be had in said case, I would like to know if it could be done in an effective manner)
