I ended up returning my Bluetti just because the service response to my questions was so bad. In particular they show in all of their pics the units stacked on one another, however when you read the manual it explicitly says not to stack. When I asked their customer service they said it should be fine, but sounded like it would void warranty.
Why are they called 'solar generators' when they don't generate anything - they are simple battery packs of varying capacity which can be charged from solar panels or other sources - but they are batteries - not generators.
All of the solar generators that you've reviewed use the same high frequency, transformerless inverter technology that is found in all expensive, Chinese made solar generators on today's market. These solar generators simply don't last. They are of a high frequency design and without an iron core, copper wound transformer to absorb the back EMF and high surge demands of high inductance loads, the MOSFETs cannot take repeated exposures to high surge loads such as full sized refrigerators, large power tools or large microwave ovens. You might be able to start and run some high surge loads when these solar generators are new, but every time you fire up that inductive load, you're shortening the life of the MOSFETs in your solar generator's nverter. They also run much hotter than low frequency, transformer based inverters which makes the low cost, off spec, Chinese made components such as capacitors, diodes, resistors and ICs that are used in these cheap inverters, far more prone to early failure. Another major consideration is that the vast majority of these solar generators are non-repairable. After the warranty runs out, you're not going to be able to ship this unit back to the manufacturer in China and have them repair the unit. At a typical shop rate of $125 per hour in the US, with no schematic and limited parts availability, it makes no economic sense to even attempt to repair one of these units. Once the FETs have fried and have taken the inverter's PCB with it, (And trust me, sooner rather than later, they will fry.) they basically become a brick. A far better alternative is to invest a little more money and purchase a low frequency, transformer based inverter charger. They last far, far longer and can easily power high surge loads without being damaged. See my video for more information on high low cost frequency inverters. I know this to be true because I've spent the last 23 years repairing inverters. They simply don't last when powering inductive loads.
I would suggest assembling your own, easy to build solar generator using a hybrid, low frequency inverter charger from either Outback Power, Schneider Electric, Magnum, Energy, Sigineer Power or Victron and add a bank of LFP batteries. Your system will last far, far longer, it will run much cooler and can easily power high surge loads without being damaged and without damaging your appliances.@@unknown4now385
Honestly, the review is kinda all over the place. We're looking at various watts and different watt hours, some with solar panels and some don't. It would be great if we can compare the best in different watts and watt hour instead of just having five from all different categories.
You obviously never used a Titan solar generator. 3000w continuous out, will actually do more, 2000w solar in, 1500w ac charging in, and 12v 20 amp car adapter, all can be used at the same time, and can discharge at the same time. No limit on battery expansion, and can run on any 24v batteries, lithium, gel, lead acid. Dont try any of that with the ones you listed, you will start a fire
We here in the uk I have gone for the EcoFlow Delta 2 & the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Extra Battery at the mo the EcoFlow Delta 2 will be here next year in Jan but we have the Extra Battery now so happy camping next year for us
I have the Delta 2. Use the phone app, WiFi, and Bluetooth capable. There are so many additional functions and settings you can personalize to your needs. The app also works in combination with the extra battery, and smart generator, which makes it a very hard-to-beat and still portable combination. 😎
Very good video. When discussing the Ecoflow solar panels, it would be helpful to show the solar panels, especially with all the different components being discussed. Your description jumped to, "the 400w panels," and (not bring clueless about solar chargers) I had to go back to understand what kind of "panels" you were talking about.
I have a jackery and it works but looking for other brands because you low key are just paying for the brand name, found out after I got it. Works great don’t get me wrong but I also could have gotten a bigger size and a bigger panel for cheaper than the Jackery bundle I got which was a 500 with a 100 panel
Ived own Bluetti, Ecoflow, Ausiney (sp?), Chafon and Inergy. Inergy wins. Ecoflow 220 panel wins the best portable solar panel. Inergy Flex does need a wireless app though. When it gets an app ill buy another one.
Do you mean only as a back up if the power goes out? How often does your power go out? Summer usually? If your power only goes out in winter storms, you don't really need the battery. Food can stay cool outside.
@@goodolgoldy1976 It also depends on how long the outages are that you're expecting. Winter is not as big of an issue for a fridge with food you keep at 38f. If you're expecting a 3 day outage and need to power a fridge/freezer for a 2+ day period, once a year, I would just get a gas generator and some gas cans. The battery you would need to buy would be enormous for a 48 hr+ period.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro really deserves first place. It has a sleek design and is very durable, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts and emergency preparedness. The built-in solar panels and fast charging capabilities make it a versatile option for off-grid power needs.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree with you, the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts and emergency preparedness. So tired of watching videos that don't tell you the most important stuff about these devices. They won't tell you type of charge controller they use. If they do, they don't tell you the battery type such as LifePO4 or Lithium Ion. They click bait you by telling you it's a 600 watt unit but then later in the video it's not really a 600 watt unit, but a 236ah unit with a 600 peak output. There are some good guys to follow such as Will Prowse, Jasonoid and Hobotec. They get quite detailed and are even beginning to cover some of the less obvious info like what is the parasitic (idle) draw of both AC and DC.
Not sure why these are called 'solar generators'. That's a huge misnomer. These are portable power stations. Yes you can charge them via solar but only if you buy the expensive solar panels separately. Also, the solar panels don't charge very efficiently even on a sunny day.
I don’t want nor need WiFi on my generator. That’s asking for trouble, if the SHTF they can turn off your generator though a back door. Or track you. Can you get a EcoFlow without BT or WiFi?
I have a concern about Solar charging. I live in Ohio where the average number of days with full sun is only 11 per month for 7 months of the year. In the summer June thru October the days climb to about 20 days of full sun. When running an 1800 watt power station, I would have to make its capabilities work for 3 days between charges. I’m not sure how to deal with this situation.
Depending on what you are trying to power...1800 watts may only last a day or less. More panels would help yet you might be better off investing in a more serious solar system.
They are nice , but if any of them cant give out power for a mud suze fridge , i personally think its a waste of money , soecially necause the clip shows a camping background , as if the generator can supply power for camping needs , more than just a cell phone 😂
Go a bit bigger and a mostly off grid option is possible. Our Bluetti AC300 and 2 x B300 batteries have powered most of our house over summer with no grid charging. 1 kW of solar into one of the MPPTs and 250W and 190W directly into the batteries
You must have missed my original comment. The Bluettit AC300 and 2 x B300 are running our house except for lights and ceiling fans and have been now for a year. We have imported about 50kWh in that time and I just had our Air cond wired up to run on the Bluetti @@geraldhenrickson7472

$135 , 1,200w gas generator from Walmart-run for 6 hours off 1.1 gallon of unleaded. Ecoflow river 2 charges in 45 min, and lasts for days. 6 charges off 1 gallon of gas🤔. . Less than 500 dollars for both. Eco flow eBay. 5 gallon can. Camping with Sasquatch, priceless.😅
Good vid comparison. I'll have to rewatch this later, with a pen and paper to compare better. I'm a visual kinda guy. I need my pretty colors and crayons. (Don't hate)
That would be one easy way to make your house fully solar power 24/7 if you want to spend more on battery backup easy diy instead of paying a company to come out and install a solar system. Just plug in and go and add solar panels to charge the battery or use a gas generator to charge it also for fast charging
A real generator should be able to power inductive loads like refrigerators, microwave, ovens, portable air conditioners, power tools, motors without being damaged. All of these solar generators use high frequency, transformerless inverters in their design and cannot provide an adequate surge capacity to power inductive loads. You may be able to start some of these loads when your high frequency solar generator is new, but over time, typically after less than a year of repeated use, your lightweight, high frequency solar generator WILL fail. A much better choice would be to invest in a power station that uses low frequency, transformer based technology in its design. Low frequency inverters can handle high surge loads for at least 3x their continuous rated capacity and they can do this repeatedly for minutes, rather than milliseconds
I don't know much about tech but I'm thinking about building a play house for my kids the summers are super hot I would love to install a window ac/heater while they play but having a gas unit will not be an option which would you recommend. Can you use it while it's connected to solar panels ?
Actually if you do it right charge it the day before an if you live in a place with low to no humidity you can easily get those artic air joints it would easily power one of those for many hours.
After reading countless customer reviews on all the brands of these power stations I decided not to buy one. The customer support when there is a failure, even not long after purchase is non existent and they make you jump through expensive hoops to return then they send you refurbished. To expensive for that kind of result. I will have a system built instead.
a 6500 watt capable solar generator is worse for the environment during its production than a 6500 watt gasoline generator over a 10,000 hour life span.
Not looking to buy a portable solar generator... looking for the largest Power Station models to power minimal lights in my house when our electricity goes down. What are your opinions of EcoFlow systems ?
One quirk, there is a delay from the time I turn on alt current and power being available to the outlet. I thought some appliances were busted before realized there was a 10 second delay. Not an issue now that I know about it. I like that it is very simple compared to other SolGens of its size. Making things more complex creates more things that can break

Exactly, there's a difference between a big battery, and an actual Generator...
Its kinda tricky. but i think its called solar generator because the inverter runs on solar battery, which is charged by solar panel.
A better name for them could be 'Solar Energy Collectors', or S.E.C. for short.
Gas powered generators need fuel (gas), and solar powered generators need fuel (sunshine) to produce electricity in useable form.
Question with the bluetti 2000w ; why do they loose 30% discharge over night that’s a lots of power lost all batteries will discharge

Low frequency inverters can handle high surge loads for at least 3x their continuous rated capacity and they can do this repeatedly for minutes, rather than milliseconds
Pressurized water air generate forever or motor generator never need any more energy
There’s no need to throw in your global warming propaganda in your video
😂😂😂
Thank you!
What propaganda
First thing I noticed too.
Global warming is a naturally occurring atmospheric condition. We can't stop it nor can we increase it.
How much price this itimes
Valid Consumer. Of course I'm valid. 🙃
Where to buy
I don't know much about tech but I'm thinking about building a play house for my kids the summers are super hot I would love to install a window ac/heater while they play but having a gas unit will not be an option which would you recommend. Can you use it while it's connected to solar panels ?
That thing ain't gonna run an AC for long..and how long will them kids have to burn up out there, while this "generator" is recharging? 😂😂
I will have a system built instead.
how much one?
a 6500 watt capable solar generator is worse for the environment during its production than a 6500 watt gasoline generator over a 10,000 hour life span.
How much is it
Not looking to buy a portable solar generator... looking for the largest Power Station models to power minimal lights in my house when our electricity goes down. What are your opinions of EcoFlow systems ?
Rechargebality is the best of them. I used River Pro 2. Maybe for lighting the River 2 also would be enough.
how much perice
I went with the Oupes 2400
Do you still like it? That’s what I was planning on getting!
I still like it but it has some quirks that caused minor problems until I adjusted to it
One quirk, there is a delay from the time I turn on alt current and power being available to the outlet. I thought some appliances were busted before realized there was a 10 second delay. Not an issue now that I know about it. I like that it is very simple compared to other SolGens of its size. Making things more complex creates more things that can break
Sorry but a battery with a converter is " NOT A GENERATOR"
They do require lots of fossil fuels to produce and ship. Impossible to create without fossil fuels
lol, that fridge held 2 beers. What's the point?
Perfect
Solar Batteries....NOT GENERATORS!!! Get it correct!
I have 150watt solor panals
How much
Comment nelow says it well ... Not gemerators but battery packs.
Why only men are doing the connections.Women can do it do and might end up doing it more as in SA a lot of households are women in charge

Your entire first paragraph is incorrect.
There are plenty more.
Vtoman Pro 3000 is coming at a better price than these.
It's not a proven fact that carbon monoxide emissions contributes to climate change so promote your products however keep your theories to yourself.
