I wish I could have met a lot of these bluegrass legends although I did get the thrill of a lifetime my mom's oldest brother who also happens to be my favorite uncle took me several years ago to see the legendary Ralph Stanley and the best part of all I got to meet him and shake his hand and I'm not making this up telling you the truth here he talked with us for an hour and a half it's a night ill never forget as long as I live unfortunately my uncle is no longer with us and I miss him everyday RIP awesome uncle Bill I love you and miss you so much
Holy smokes! I've been looking this world over for a recording of lee's march. This is the only video on the internet with that song on it. A few years ago they took the individual song videos away for some reason. Thanks!
He did a very nice job on it too. Back when i first heard this album, i didn't think you could put electric guitar to this music. I am more flexible these days, but it is largely because Steve Chapman set such a great example of how to do it without dominating the rest of the band.
Thank you so much for posting this exceptional selection of Reno and Smiley. One of my top five banjo and guitar players. Never forget tenor singers

Actually the whole band was outstanding, but Reno & Smiley, they blended so well, it was as if they were brothers.

I read somewhere that they had to fill a space for another tune at the end of this album, so Reno came up with Lee's March on the spot. Reno!

The late Steve Chapman, who joined R&S in the band's later years, played electric guitar on this album.

Who's the Richard Cranium that down-voted this song?
I can't stand bluegrass being played this fast; thumbs down (all 5).
