Anime America Robyn, I don't watch public TV because I know how terrible it can be, so I mainly collect TV shows on DVD. Being a gamer, I have a lot of shows that are game-based, like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Street Fighter, etc. (All of these are 90s cartoons, by the way.) However, I'd have to say that my favorite TV show of all time is the Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, a cartoon/live-action hybrid. I'm also a pro wrestling fan, so I like this show even more since the live-action Mario is played by "Captain" Lou Albano, may he rest in peace. Luigi, on the other hand, was played by the veteran actor Danny Wells, may he rest in peace, too. They also voiced their animated counterparts as well. Every episode of the show was a hilarious pop culture reference. Not to mention that the show had one of the most goshdarn catchy theme songs I've ever heard: "We're the Mario Bros., and plumbing's our game! We're not like the others who get all the fame! If a sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double! We're faster than the others, you'll be hooked on the Bros! UNH!" This show would end up having two sequel series: The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. They're great, too.
Anime America best outro ever!
have you ever seen twin peaks?
Anime America t
Great choices Robyn :) I particularly agree about South Park and Avatar (edit: and Animaniacs, Gravity Falls and Star!). I definitely recommend you finish off Legend of Korra as season 4 is among the best animated drama, characters and story I've ever seen. All the best my friend :)

Emi Da Weirdo 2, 4, 5, 9 i love these shows
Nobody cares about teen titans go
I personally love Courage the Cowardly Dog. This show is my whole childhood, and I just adore it's kind of Tim Burton-esque style combined with the wacky characters and the dark, at times satirical humor.
I grew up with Ben 10, it was kind of like the weird and freaky sailor moon for Kids who like super heroes and aliens, it was very anime like so it was what got me into the whole anime seen in general
This comment section and video bring up lots of fun memories.
How is Ben 10 weird?
here is my top ten list
10: my life as a teenage robot
9: suit life of zack and cody/ suit life on deck
8: that's so raven
7: kim possible
6: avatar the last air bender
5: generator rex
4: ben 10
3: power rangers
2: dragon tail's

Are you like 12?
blastphamie!....sry about that but scooby doo is awesome too me i love now and forever but i do have to admit the latest reboot is less than desiered
If you like Rick and Morty, you'd also like BoJack Horseman. It's an amazing show that deconstructs the clichés of just about every genre, mainly sitcoms and "adult" cartoons. It also goes _deep_ into the psyches of various characters. In short, it actually _is_ an adult cartoon. Even teenagers get confused watching it. You're probably not going to see this because the upload date is about eight months ago, so I'll stop wasting my time.
*BLUEBERRY WAFFLES! PATRICK STEWART LIVES IN MY HEDGEHOG'S ENCHANTED DOORKNOB!*
Shut up PENGUIN OF D00M.
I remember M*A*S*H! I used to actually watch it quite a bit, since Reruns of it were on. The episodes I saw were absolutely hilarious, my favourite being “Heal Thyself” the one where Colonel Potter and Major Winchester get the Mumps and have to be roommates. It has some of my favourite jokes in the series, such as the gargling joke, and the scene where Winchester, out of pure desperation, plays his music, only for Colonel Potter to throw the Record out like a frisbee.
Robyn, you have incredible taste! Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Courage, Who's Line, Project Runway... you love all of my favorites! I have a quick suggestion though: if you like special effects and competition shows (like Project Runway), Face Off is probably good to check out :)
My Grandpa was an Army doctor, and he got a Legion of Merit for creating M.A.S.H. units! if it weren't for him and his colleagues, that show wouldn't exist!
He was!
Jeremy Sloane neat
I was going to say Corey in the house but then I realised it's an anime
JASON MORAN haha. Most original joke totally. Lol
Josh X Can someone explain that joke to me please?
Epsy Blue the joke is that Cory in the house isn't even close to being an anime, but everyone claims that it is. I haven't seen this joke for a while but it sure is a good one
LOL Thanks.
no it's not
I screamed "Yes!" as soon as Robin said she liked Steven Universe. I also agree with Robin about favorite gem being Peridot, and I don't have a favorite song, but I do just love "It's over, isn't it?". I also absolutely love Gravity Falls. Birds of a feather I guess. I like all the animated shows Robin likes.
King DainIV
Transformers Prime
Steven Universe
Star vs The Forces of Evil
Camp Camp
Over The Garden Wall
Adventure Time
Topey Topaz All of these show are awesome! :)
I love Transformers: Prime so much, and Camp Camp had me want to cry at the end.
Transformers Prime was the bomb
My favorites
In no particular order, just as they pop into my head
1. Venture Brothers
2. Metalocalypse
3. Steven Universe (only halfway through the first season but it's already an ATF)

Equestrian Warrior who can even come close to the Elric brothers?
Equestrian Warrior

@@jacobmangus2382 because its a good show
avaaatarrrrrr
Wither you consider it an anime or not, RWBY has got have been one of my favorites, for the past two or three years. Not to mention, RWBY Chibi! (played during RoosterTeeth's Summers of Animations) is probably the only chibi based comedy series I enjoy. Otherwise, I completely agree with the rest of this list. Once again, Robyn proves she has good taste.
My favorite non-anime shows are Gravity Falls, Avatar, Transformers Prime, and Transformers Animated.
....REVIEW TRANSFORMERS ANIME!!!
Tanner Price I'm guessing you like animation
all transformers series can be called anime due to the writing and animations being both American and Japanes.
Tanner Price I love Transformers too! Though my favorite is Beast Wars.
Barry Bend except Transformers Rescue Bots
correction, not all Transformers were a American and Japanese co-op. G1 was dubbed up to headmasters Hasbro decided to do their own thing known as Beast Wars and Beast Machines, but from the first R.I.D. to the Unicron trilogy was Transformers anime that had been dubbed, Animated, Prime, Go-bots, and R.I.D. 2015 was American animated (But there was a Transformers anime that was loose squeal to prime), and then the webseries Transformers Combiners Wars was made by Machinima.
This is something I never knew I wanted.
Robyn, what do you think of Danny Phantom and Supernatural? Those two are some of my non-anime favorites.
princessbinas
YESSS Danny Phantom is so good xD
Oh my god I love Danny Phantom!
Ker Dunne The theme song is one of four rap songs I like. Outside of those four, I HATE rap.
Yo Danny Phantom he was just fourteen...😂
nobodyNothing Anonymous user His parents built a strange machine, designed to see a world unseen...
Yessssssssss Steven universe!!!!!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😸😸😸😸😸
My current all time favorite nonanime show:
Supernatural
Basically taking Horror and folk lore, and a number of other things that may or may not break the 4th wall, and flipping it on its head
It's also a great way to have a show that has your lead stars actually be best friends off stage, and they absolutely love their job
Just like with MASH, it can go from hilarious to serious in a single scene
After that, it's Superman, Megas XLR, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, and Spider-Man
I also watch a lot of NCIS and will binge watch Monk when prompted
Dexter's Lab? I recommend Sym-bionic Titan. Same creator.
My favorite toon not mentioned in your list is Samurai Jack. You probably already know, but also same creator (Genndy Tartakovsky).
I feel like you would like the new Voltron. Its surprisingly really good for a reincarnation.
Rick and Morty and gravity falls creators are friends and both have Easter eggs of each other ( a lot of them )
Also love animaniacs
And I watch MASH often very often
Twin peaks, Penny Dreadful and Hannibal. I love all three of these shows for the quality of writing acting and over scope. Thanks Anime America for this list. Keep up the good work.
I honestly think that if i ever got to be friends with Robin I would end up watching so many new things... also that rick and morty bit during the credits was great... also i would love to just chat with Robin one on one about various shows
Kind of surprise Batman the animated series wasn't on the list or a honorable mention.
Dude. Yes. Probably my favorite childhood cartoon.
I was surprised doctor who wasn't there either
Or even Batman Beyond?
King26J same here, that show was amazing
King26J it'd be too easy to enjoy. would be like going you enjoy breathing? I enjoy breathing!
Anime America are you a big fan of Xiaolin Showdown and the original Teen Titans?
Jack Whitty Xiaolin Showdown, man I haven't heard that name in years...
I wish that would come back as good as it was, none of that Xiaolin Chronicles stuff
Man, I loved that show, though DESPISED Chronicles (thanks, Canada and your fuckin' labor laws).
Isaac Gleeth I'm saying!! Even the Shen Gon Wu went by different names
Jack Whitty I loved both xiaolin showdown and the original teen titans.
OMG I love M*A*S*H I wasn't born yet when it came out but I see old episodes on tv and I love it
I'd think you'd like Wander over Yonder if you love Steven Universe and Gravity falls and they're way of doing things a little out of the ordinary.
The show is goofy, but it is fun and has some likable characters to it. There's also scenes that just slow down and let emotions build and because you love these characters so much, you're willing to take your time to understand their struggles. I wouldn't judge it on just the first few episodes though because if you have the patience, the show does reward you with some funny scenes and emotional ones too.
I have to agree with a lot of your choices in the honorable mentions, Robyn. Half of those shows were my jam as a kid. Sure, I grew up in the 2000's, but reruns and VHS made it all the more worthwhile. Plus I see you're a fellow Buffyverse and CSI lover. Totally approve of that. 👍👍
By the way, one non-anime show I can recommend to you for later viewing is the MTV version of Teen Wolf. There's a lot of good stuff in it, and some of it would put Buffy to shame.
Anyway, The 15 shows I like (that aren't anime and in no particular order) are:
Power Rangers
Iron Man: Armored Adventures
MTV's Teen Wolf
Danny Phantom
Avatar (and its sequel Legend of Korra)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and its spin-off Angel)
Bones
Any CSI and NCIS iteration
Hawaii Five-O
Blue Bloods
Any game shows that include knowledge based questions
DCAU TV shows (like Batman the Animated Series and others)
Criminal Minds
The original Scooby Doo
Sherlock
Oh yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!!! Gravity falls!!!!!!!😸😸😸😸😸
Yes Sherlock!!!!in any show he still Sherlock!!!!
Notification squad I love all of your vids keep it up guys
Love your list. Many of those shows on your list would be on mine too.
Agree with you on MASH. I"m old enough to have seen those episodes when they first aired. I still love watching them. Those episodes are timeless.
I freaking love MASH! I definitely wouldn't have guessed that it was your favorite, but your explanation makes it all makes sense.
I love Over the Garden Wall.
same
Noob: rick and morty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smoke: YOLO
GRAVITY FALLS
Bojack Horseman
Don't hate the game, hate the player
Watching this video reminded me of the show Detentionaire. Dam I have not thought of that show in a while
I loved watching Mash when I was younger! My grandparents let me watch it, Radio, Hawkeye, and I forgot the one who wore the dresses and outfits name were my favorites.
OMG My older sister absolutely loves this MASH
Shes actually been watching it a lot recently cause she has episodes of it recorded
Best non anime shows Avatar, Gravity falls,Rick and morty And young justice.
Maybe teen titans and the batman animated series too.
Both my parents had me watching MASH from a young age.
not gonna lie, i thought ninja turtles (2003)would be an honorable mention.
Korra. It took me a while to warm up to it, since it had a totally different tone to Avatar (and Avatar is perfection
My favorite whose line joke came from scenes from a hat and it was "Things to say that will always start a fight" "Hey, wanna start a fight?"
Star vs of Evil!!!!!!!!😆😆😆😆😆
Meows Fox cat 48 GiesToday bro stop spamming comments you 60 year old granny
Star vs the forces of evil is the best
Robbin,do you like Winnie the Pooh? if so can you review a Pooh Movie that was released in theaters?
Noah The PokéMaster you mean that yellow bear for little kids
Gamer wizard8 i grew up with Winnie the Pooh and other 90's cartoons
Noah The PokéMaster i did too but i dont still like kid shows
Noah The PokéMaster winnie the pooh is like mickey mouse
Gamer wizard8 hey, anyone can still watch cartoons, no matter how old they get.
Wow this is such an awesome list.
My favorite non-anime show is........
THE ORIGINAL Teen Titans they were awesome as hell.
Nice vid Robyn! My favorite non-anime show would either be Doctor Who or Supernatural, I just love them both way too much to choose which one's better
Still waiting on a review of Avatar on popspectrum... luckily I have Amazon Prime. :)
P.S. my favorite non-anime show(s):
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Steven Universe
Code Lyoko
TMNT (2003 and 2012)
River Monsters
Tanked
Chopped
Cooks vs Cons
Rick and Morty
The Big Bang Theory
and
Teen Titans (original)
I like TMNT too :D . Especially the 2003 version.
Also, Sherlock is awesome as f*ck. Can't wait until it continues.
Anime America Robyn, just in case you forgot, the name of the Mulan sauce is szechuan sauce!
Smack Dackity
That sauce was made in 1998 - hence her Mulan reference.
YOU GOT THE SAME FAVORITE RICK AND MORTY EPISODE AS ME
I think that's almost everyone's favorite episode. Poor Mr. Poopy Butthole.
For a suggestion, try "Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers", it's an anime hybrid. American writers, included some marvel and some star wars writhes, and animated by TMS, who did stuff like Akira. The creator was inspired by animes he saw, including Cobra, which inspired the Zachery Fox character of the series. Was also the first series to use CGI, mostly for computer screens one would see on the show. Might wanna give it a try. :)
I totally agree with you on M.A.S.H. Did the voices of Rick and Morty really do the promo for your show? Really cool! Keep up the good work. God and take care.
Made it before the 500 views mark!!!
no disrespect but I believe given present situations miraculous ladybug and cat noir is another great show on Nickelodeon but thats my opinion
It's good- especially visually- but it's very formulaic.
emmakatenotcake true it is formulaic but at least the enemies are fairly original and pretty cool
Yeah I checked it out too. The animation and characters look BRILLIANT (that's French animation studios for you), but the plot is very formulaic. But it's also for kids and a lot of shows we watched had pretty basic formulas.
Mad Paddy I do agree and I don't want a fight either
I recommend charmed it's a show i feel you would like
One of my favs is the original Twilight Zone. I haven't seen every episode, but I love everything about it. The writing, the pacing, the limited creative resources they used for effects and monsters... Such a masterpiece.
OMG! I've remember seeing WHO'S LINE IS IT ANYWAYS back when I was little. And I still watching it to this very day.
I love Steven universe
And gravity falls
And rick and Morty
And adventure time
And star vs the forces of evil
And teen titans
Oi why i see avatar in thumbnail
Cause it's in the video?
Ash The Black Dragon cause it's an anime in a non-anime video?
nicol granger Can't we just call it a hybrid and stop the confusion?
I mean, who doesn't like Courage the Cowardly Dog?
The people that were scared of it
I like most of those shows too. I also watched M*A*S*H growing up. Was one of my favorites for years.
I grew up with M*A*S*H* and love it to this day! The moment that Radar announces that Col. Blake had died, never fails to make me cry, and one of my favorite moments is in the episode "Dear Sigmund" which I think is the 2nd episode for BJ Hunnicutt who was one of my favorites, and it's when there's been a prankster running around the camp getting everybody, meanwhile Dr. Sidney Freedman has been there taking a break from his work and has been in a way writing a letter to Sigmund Freud as a way to deal with what he's seen and also describing the antics going on in the 4077th and he suddenly hears water running outside, so he goes out to see what the noise is, and he finds BJ filling up the foxhole that Frank has dug due to being completely paranoid about an air raid happening. After Sidney finds out that he's the prankster, BJ asks him if he wants to help. He asks "What do I have to do? and BJ tells him "Stand outside the tent and as loud as you can, yell "Air Raid!" which makes Sidney laugh and then he does it! Meanwhile, Frank hears him screaming and starts screaming "AIR RAID!", runs out of the tent and jumps into the foxhole which is now pretty much a pool!
I think I probably have too many favorite shows I could list so I'll name off just a few of my top ones. M*A*S*H*, The Golden Girls, ER, Roseanne, Buffy, Charmed, Grey's Anatomy, Family Guy, Beavis And Butt-Head, Whose Line, Impractical Jokers, and last but certainly not least, Daria.
Adventure time!!!!!😝😝😝😝
I like it 😰
Code Lyoko is my favorite non anime show.
Wiley E Coyote you people are few and far between
happy birthday
I remember watching M*A*S*H when i was younger too. My favorite non-anime show is by far Teen Titans though. The back stories for each character are so thoroughly done, the only show that can compete is Avatar: The Last Airbender.
OK, so not entirely thorough. You have to read the comics to know that, but it is still good. I guess the character complex and the fact that five teens that don't even know each other form a teen make it great.
Omg!! I freaked out when I saw Buffy and angel in the honorable mentions. Also you do realize three of your honorable mentions shows have David bortista in them.
Every top 10 list needs Raptor Colin Mochrie on it.
James Bevan so true
you don't like Ed edd n Eddy, Batman: the animated series, or Rocko s modern Life?
Yessssss!!!! I♥️ Avatar!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
Ashley Green SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!
yessss
Came back here because this list is the reason I started watching MASH. Now one of my favorite shows and I got recommended it by an anime channel. Thanks Robyn!
Howdy, big fan, haven't been able to watch or a while, unfortunately I can't contribute in any way other than views and likes, love the channel, long live Anime America!
I thought that "That 70's Show" would at least be in Honourable Mentions
AnimeFan Gaming i
yesss
you should watch doctor who seriously you'd love it
S Kahar Well, we do know Megan likes it
this was made on my birthday
1. Avatar
2. Regular Show
3. The new DuckTales
4. Gravity Falls
5. My Life As A Teenage Robot
6. Kids Next Door
7. Teen Titans (original)
8. Over The Garden Wall
9. SVTFOE
10. Steven Universe
I love this list! Some of my fave non-anime shows are on this list and this makes me happy!! ^^
MASH YES!!!!
YYAAYY KIM POSSIBLE!
Really at number 5...
why not at least 4 or 3😕
And Number 4 was a Risky show. My own Cousin even said they can't have that on a kids show, The part with Ford and Stan threading the bus driver to let Dipper and Mabel on the bus. I just Lmao and said "#savage"
I think you might have missed the big letters that said "Personal Opinion"
Don't get me wrong, I adore SU and all, but I can understand some of it's turn offs as it sometimes hits very rocky places that are just mediocre and others that are master pieces.
Okay how do you animate yourself so well, it's awesome. Also I thought Rick and Morty would be your top Fav. Stinks big time that they take FOREVER to bring in a new season, but does have great moments. I want to see the backstory behind Evil Morty. I guess some of my top 10s would be like maybe Gilligan's Island cause when I was little that was pretty hilarious, Everybody Loves Raymond, A bunch of the Scooby Doos (Scooby Doo Where are you?, 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, and What's New Scooby Doo), Gravity Falls because it was pretty cool (pretty sure tons of fans ship DipperXPacifica ever since Northwest Masion Mystery), Steven Universe (didn't watch it all, but loved the finale movie, and yes Spinel is my fav Gem. Garnet and Lapis at 2nd place), Ultimate Spider-Man&Marvel's Spider-Man (they went in unique directions, and Ultimate Spider-Man was the first incarnation to not get cancelled in like decades), Avengers, Young Justice, Rick and Morty (Cause the show does have a lot of cool moments), and Avatar the Last Airbender AND Legend of Korra. Both were cool and Season 4 brought back everyone's favorite Earthbender. Kid or old lady Toph is epic.
Really enjoyed the video. My favourite non anime show is Rick & Morty with Steven Universe a close second.
No Samurai Jack?!
RIGHT!
TheKersey475 Gotta get back, back to the past with samurai jack
Do you like slappy the squirrel when she seeks revenge? Like against those critics of her episodes or those three tanors at that baseball games?
i am suprised invader zim was not on the list
Doooooooom!
you know the memories I have growing up watching that show in tv with my parents... MASH has to be my favorite show of all time too... from father to my little brother we never had to argue about watching that show.
I would like on my list almost everything you had on you're list!( Well phineas and ferb would be on my nunber 1 list, danny phantom on the number 2 list and kim possible on the number 3 list!) But i am so happy that you put on you're list the southpark series and the gravity falls series.
I was expecting to see Code Lyoko in this video... But it didn't even get to the honorable mentions... ;_;
Code Lyoko was one of the best cartoons I have ever seen.
Hmm... I can see why you like Bones but the ending was terrible.
Ending? I drifted away when the romance took over the show. I'm unbelievably bored with male and female leads hooking up.
my number 1, of many, favorite non anime shows is:
Code Lyoko.
Zachery Schmidt what is dat.
Josh X it's a French-Canadian cartoon that has an English dubbed. it's incredible, you should watch it.
Love mash too, grew up watching it with my grandma and it really helped shape me as a person
A Back to the Future parody called Doc and Marty was exactly how Rick and Morty started.
